The Provincial Governor of Agusan del Norte requested a terminal report on research monitoring activities conducted by the Department of Education from September 21-25 and 28, 2020. Subject: Terminal Report on the conduct of Research Monitoring (DepEd)
Activity Date: Sept. 21-25 and Sept. 28, 2020
Activity Venue: Select Districts in Agusan del Norte

Rationale:

1. In support of the Department's goal in advancing the culture of research, this office
through the Planning and Research Section will conduct a Research Monitoring to
BERF Funded Researchers and do the MOA signing to BERF Grantees on
September 21-25 and 28, 2020.

2. The activity aims to:


 Strengthen the alignment of research initiatives with the Basic Education
Research Agenda;
 Foster the culture of conducting quality research in aid of evidence-based
policy formulation and program development.
 Provide technical assistance to research proponents
 Utilize research results for online learning
 Develop the attitude towards research

Narrative:

Research Monitoring is a regular activity initiated by the Division Research Committee.


It aims to provide an opportunity for researchers’ work to be validated and be given
technical support and assistance. It is also a platform for dialogue, exchange of ideas, and
collaboration. The activity was spearheaded by the SEPS for Planning and Research, Mr.
Frengie G. Botoy. The activity empowers teacher-researcher to conduct action research
that is aligned with the vision of DepEd in advancing the culture of research.

The activity commence on September 21, 2020 and ended on September 28, 2020.
