Career Goals

I am pursuing a career as a Veterinary Technologist. I grew up showing cattle and pigs in 4-H
and have been caring for animals my whole life. One of my career goals is to one day be
knowledgeable enough about my career that I can educate more people or clients about the
veterinary field and how we care for and help your animals. Improving client communication is
a big goal of mine. I think its very important for the pet owner to know what exactly we are
doing to their pet and how it is done. Another major career goal I have is to one. day own my
own Vet Clinic. Around my area we have very few large and small animal Vet offices and I would
love to be able to change that. Although many Vet clinics around me are mainly small animals,
Farm animals and other large animals hold a special place in my heart. Therefore, It is my
dream to own a large and small animal clinic so I can also give large animals the care they need.
Another goal I have set is to always keep developing my skills as a Vet Technician by assisting in
emergency situations, providing excellent care for the animals and improving their quality of
life.
