Chapter 3

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

This chapter presents the research methodology used in the study. And this includes the
research design, research locale, research respondents, sample design, research instruments,
data gathering and procedures and statistical treatment of data.

Research Locale

This study will be conducted in Gingoog City. It is the chosen place of the
researchers because it is the place where the lending institution located. Gingoog City is a
coastal component city in the province of Misamis Oriental. According to the last census year
2019, it has a total population of 133,238 people. Gingoog City is not such a big city and the
areas that are covered for the giving of questioners where’s the lending institution located, as
long the respondents are able to willing to answer. And below to this is the geographical
stretch of Gingoog City.

Research Design

Study aims to reliably and systematically define a population, situation or


phenomenon. It can answer what, where, when and how questions, but not why questions.
Unlike in laboratory experiments, the researcher does not monitor or change any of the
variables, but only observes and measures them.

Research Respondents

I will conducted survey questionnaire with ten (10) management officials from each
lending institution and 100 randomly selected cooperative micro-finance program
beneficiaries.
Research Instrument

In this study, the researchers will make survey questionnaires and provide it to the
respondents to utilize in gathering data. The survey questionnaires consists of different parts
such as; first section is

Data Gathering Procedure

In this study, the researcher will find a respondents suited for this study and explain
everything about the questionnaire. The researcher will use a survey using questionnaire
given to the respondents of the study. The respondents will answer the questionnaire in order
to get information needed for this study. After the respondents answered the questionnaire the
research will get the questionnaire to collect and gather data.
