IV. Why Kapeng Kaulayaw?

We are a specialty coffee shop. Meaning we provide only the most natural of products. Our coffee is
grown by local farmers so there are no chemicals used in the process of the coffee beans. The farmers
we are likely to work are in Cavite to keep costs lower than if we purchased beans from another country.

The location of our first coffee shop will be in Makati. This will be the location of choice so we can draw
in not only businesspeople but college students as well. It will have a view of the Ayala Triangle Garden
to ensure our peaceful nature theme cafe. This location will be easy access to people driving through the
city or simply walking along the streets. This location will be in a highly concentrated area but on the
busy streets of Makati to create that relaxing, getaway feeling.

We offer a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. Customer Service is what we stand for and if
somebody does not enjoy our coffee or food products it becomes on the house. We want to ensure that
we are always serving the best to our customers and want them to enjoy their entire experience.

All menu items will be at an affordable price. We will do all research necessary to make sure we have
quality for reasonable prices. Because we are basing out of Makati, which is home to a lot of office
workers, we want to ensure that our prices are within reason of the area. We also want it to be a place
where families come or a meeting place of choosing so having reasonable prices in comparison to chains
like Starbucks will be crucial to our success and make us a choice over the chain coffee shops.

Target Customers

- Age: 18-50
- Drip Coffee Drinkers: who want a cheap cup for the caffeine kick. On the other hand, you may
choose to go after the upscale market, to appeal to middle- and upper-class coffee drinkers,
who have the income to pay several dollars for a cup of coffee.
- Coffee Shop Lovers: who likes to spend time at shops and cafes where specialty drinks and
regular cups of coffee are available along with an inviting atmosphere.
- Specialty Coffee Drinkers: consists of those who love specific ingredients in their coffee-based
beverage and are willing to pay a premium to get what they want.
- Whole Bean Buyer:  These buyers ask to have the beans ground in the store, or they grind the
coffee themselves, for the freshest cup possible.
- Location: Business district just like Makati since it is also known as Makati CBD or Central
Business District. However, we can place it Ayala Center because it is the leading financial and
business district which is also located in the heart of Makati.
