Concrete Slump Chart

The concrete slump workability chart outlines different concrete mixes and their appropriate applications based on slump, or workability. Very dry mixes with a 0-1” slump are best for paving machines, while mixes with a 1-2” slump work well for foundations and pavements consolidated by hand. Medium workability mixes of 2-4” slump can be manually placed or consolidated and are suitable for reinforced flat slabs and walls. Highly workable 4-7” slump concrete is preferred for pumping and congested reinforcement.
