maintain and simultaneously develop architectural wealth in the region.

world-class architecture without losing the identity and local architectural context.

CHAPTER V
CONCLUSION
BOSOWA UNIVERSITY MAKASSAR
This building is an example of the fusion of local archipelago architecture that is full of philosophy with today's modern
architecture full of technological sophistication. This building is an example of the preservation of the archipelago's architecture today,
which architectural practitioners in Indonesia should emulate.
UNM Academic Service Center Building
As in the Makassar Traditional House which consists of 3 parts (under / awa ball, body / loft, and head / rakkeang) and is influenced by
the cosmic structure (lower realm, middle realm, and upper realm), GPPA UNM also consists of 3 parts:
The bottom part is under / stage.
This part of the space is located 2 meters above the road so that the building looks more magnificent than the surrounding
environment. This floor underneath is designed to blend into the landscape, which is sloping down to the pedestrian around the land.
The body part is a podium.
The podium consists of 3 floors, the symbol of the 3 body parts of the Makassar Traditional House (the front / risaliweng attic, the
living room / loft ritenggah, and the back room / Lontang rilaleng). This part of the podium also has a double meaning as a symbol of
land and water. The head is a tower. The tower consists of 12 floors which is a metaphor for the sail of the Pinisi boat and also has a
double meaning as a symbol of wind and fire.
