Service Bulletin: Firmware Upgrade, Ver. 007.001 Correcting CF2FF Error

The firmware for the Kyocera FS-1118MFP is being upgraded to version 007.001 to fix 3 issues: 1) a "CF2FF error" and power off message, 2) incorrect display of quotation marks when registering for POP3, and 3) Cassette 2 being checked as available by default during driver configuration. The update also changes the NVRAM mapping so custom settings will be reset if downgrading to an older firmware version. All machines produced from September 2007 onwards will have this new firmware installed.

System firmware is upgraded as follows.

Description of changes:
1. Correcting CF2FF error indicated along with “power off” message which may occur if certain PCL data is
printed;
2. Correcting the incorrect display of “(double quotation mark) which is indicated after registering in POP3 User
2 and USER 3 through Command Center.
3. Correcting Cassete2 checked as available by default which may occur when executing auto configuration of
the printer driver.
