Knock our MIracle League

Wishlist out of the park

“They go above and beyond to make me and my family feel comfortable.”

Dear XXXXX,

The season of comfort is upon us. We reach for lattes, warm soup, cozy blankets, fires
and snuggle into our comfortable slippers. And yet, there is something I have learned
from many of the families at ESP…. life is rarely comfortable. Everywhere they go, there
are obstacles: places their children cannot physically access, temperature challenges that
induce seizures, or weird stares as challenging behaviors occur.

Stephanie, Garrett's mom, shared: "The ESP Miracle League is

important to our family because it gives total accessibility for
wheelchair bound children and allows them to experience fun
outdoor activities they may have never had the opportunity to
experience before. Even at Disney, there are so many rides my
son can’t ride. It is heartbreaking. At ESP, accessibility is never
a question. When we first brought Garrett to ESP, we were
nervous about leaving him in someone else's complete care.
But, we quickly saw how truly loved and understood Garrett
was at ESP. They go above and beyond to give Garrett access
to experiences that he would otherwise not be included in.
ESP goes above and beyond to make me and my family feel comfortable.”

We need your help to provide that comfortable place for all families. As we dream about
the ESP Miracle League and recreation for ALL, we must consider:
• A paved pathway to the park, so Garrett and his friends can visit the ball field together.
• Additional shade, so that Garrett doesn't overheat in his wheelchair.
• A medical area, to make sure that our players medical needs are met on the spot.

Now, we need your help to make these essential items possible. As you find comfort
with your family this holiday season, please consider providing the gift of recreation and
comfort to children of all abilities.

very tough to access the water;
there was no pathway. It felt
