Shoot Plan

Where; Homemade Studio set up


When; During daylight
What; The images I’m planning to take of the model should have
a sense of mystery within them, by ensuring upright posture and
closed body language it adds to the level of sophistication found
within media representations of women. Instead of creating a
negative representation of the male gaze, the photos should
empower the model and sell the perfume as a confidence boost.
The model should be dressed in dark clothing and switch from
having her hair up and down, this will allow me to capture images
that show different levels of class (when considering
sophistication)
Techniques and Experimentation; I will not be using any
experimentation however I will be using a varied number of
apertures to contrast with the shallow depth of field within the
images of the perfume bottle.
Influences; I will be using the same ideas from my previous shoot,
where Chanel have used intense contrasts within their editing in
order to reflect the assets of their products, the model should be
seen as almost intimidating to show how empowering the product
is for a consumer.
Shoot Evaluation
Overall I wanted these prints to have a more
intense contrast within them, this is to infer themes
of empowerment and to link to the idea of
advertisements being intense and dramatic. The
poses of the model create mystery and
sophistication allowing an audience to understand
the confidence the perfume is being advertised to
give. To improve the shoot I could have included
some further away shots in order to vary the
composition within my images.
