The dream of robotics is, first, that intelligent machines can do our work for us, allowing us lives
of leisure, restoring us to Eden… And second, that we will gradually replace ourselves with our
robotic technology, achieving near immortality by downloading our consciousnesses.
Eventually po kasi yung artificial intelligence like robots po will surpass us or the human intelligence, and
once they're smarter than we are, we are in serious trouble.
Kasi po from SIRI to self-driving vehicles, artificial intelligence ( AI) is making rapid progress po.
Although science fiction frequently presents AI as robots with human-like features, AI can encompass
everything po from Google search algorithms to Watson's IBM to autonomous weapons.
By inventing revolutionary new technologies po, such a superintelligence might help us eradicate war,
disease, and poverty, and so the creation of strong AI might be the biggest event in human history.
In the future, can robotics transform our lives? It's a funny thing to ask po kasi nagbabago na yung buhay
natin ngayon sa maraming paraan, and they've been around for years na po so we casually acknowledged
that computers should be expected to do stuff for us.
They're filming our projects, do our assignments, cooking our meals, playing our songs, and even driving
our cars. We just do not see that because these "robots" don't have the face we can relate to.
The notion of robots to conquer humans po can be fundamentally attributed to conscious machines.
Overcoming humans po would mean replicating, achieving and exceeding core distinguishing traits of
human beings, such as high-level awareness consistent with conscious perception. But should machines
be compared to humans? Will computers become aware of that? Will algorithms outnumber human
capabilities?
If you watch k-dramas po like “I am not a robot” and “Are you human?” you can say that robots can do
anything to the point that we can’t figure out what is the difference between a human and a robot. As
what I saw from these dramas, the one who made the robot build the brain and input information on how
a human should act and actually it surpasses the intellectual capability of human, because the concept of
attaining and surpassing human capacities requires the understanding of a series of distinctive
mechanisms and characteristics that characterize the human being po (e.g., intellect, vocabulary, abstract
reasoning, the development of art and music, emotions and physical ability, among others).
But this is the problem po, when the time has come, wherein robots will dominate us, replace us, we can
lose our jobs, we can’t do anything about it because we let robots do things that we human should be
doing that will probably lead us jobless, no money, and we can’t do tasks on our own way, in our own
house and eventually we’re going to be worthless to the point that we humans are no longer needed in this
world, our own place.
