Uniqlo is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fast Retailing Co., Ltd, founded in 1949. Uniqlo produces its own private-label apparel and sells it exclusively through its stores. Uniqlo belongs to the fashion and retail industry and is currently the third largest global retailer behind Zara and H&M. Fast Retailing generates most of its revenue from Uniqlo stores internationally and in Japan, with a smaller percentage from other brands. Uniqlo opened its first store in India in 2019.

would produce their own clothing and sell it exclusively.

For Fast Retailing, the revenue generated by the Uniqlo are – 44.9% Internationally and 38.1%
from its market in Japan only. Rest 17% are from its other brands which like GU, PTSL,

the same on 9 May 2018
