1100 Series 73 Issue 2

This Service Bulletin applies to 1100 Series six cylinder engines, model PJ.
Under certain load conditions the engine will suffer a derate of twenty percent (ten percent loss in power) and
create the following diagnostic codes:
CID 0001 FMI 07
CID 0002 FMI 07
CID 0003 FMI 07
CID 0004 FMI 07
CID 0005 FMI 07
CID 0006 FMI 07.
The current flash file level for these older engine does not allow the Fuel System Verification Test in the
Electronic Service Tool (EST) to diagnose the fault and remove any diagnostic codes.
Note: FG Wilson Aftermarket Technical Support for latest flash file before updating the engine
ECM as a later flash file might exist.
Note: This flash file update should only be carried out at the next service visit and/or use of the Electronic
Service Tool under warranty investigation. Pro active rework under warranty or campaign action is not allowed.
If the affected engine serial number range is listed in Table 1, install the new flash file to replace the old flash
file. For the correct procedure to install the new flash file, refer to Troubleshooting, ‘Flash Programming’.

If the affected engine serial number range is listed in Table 2, install new electronic unit injectors. Refer to
Disassembly and Assembly, ‘Electronic Unit Injector - Remove’ ‘Electronic Unit Injector - Install’ for the correct
procedures. Install the new flash file to replace the old flash file. For the correct procedure to install the flash
file, refer to Troubleshooting, ‘Flash Programming’. On completion of the installation of the new electronic unit
injectors and flash file, run the Fuel System Verification Test again.
