On Earth Prace—Editapial
(HIS 18 December, the last month of
that may be recorded by history as
cone of the most eventful years of human
history. Certa'nly, it has brought much
relief to us here on this continent and
to others of the Allied Nations who
have been victorious over the enemy,
but it has not brought victory over the
strife torn world in many other ways.
However, it seems certain that 1945 has
been one of the turning points in human
hhistory, to say the least. Actually, two
3 have been brought to an end,
cof men in the service of many
nations have been returned to. thel
hhomes and families. Therefore, with
gratitude we bow our hearts to God,
thanking Him from whom all blessings
flow that our boys will not be required
to spend weeks in fox holes, in snow
and cold, but may at least have a warm
place in which to sleep at night. At this
the end of the year let us not forget to,
humble ourselves before God, and
Him the glory for that which we have
bbeen delivered from.
‘While we meditate on our present cir-
‘cumstances let us remember that there
fare untold millions who are living in the
worse kind of poverty imaginabl
ation will be the lot of a
tude. Are we forgetting that these are
souls for whom Jesus died? Some may
say, They are our enemies: true they
have been our ene!
commanded us to Jove our enemies. This
however, is not the end of the matter
for there are other things to consider.
‘You may say, And what else is there to
be considered regarding these nations!
In an effort to answer this question is
the outstanding fact that Nazism is only
the logical results of Materialism, and
if it had not been for the spiritually
minded people (the salt of the earth) in
‘our own land, we would have been the
same kind of brutes that we hear of our
_ Today, in the nations known as Chris-
there is a very definite
um in the Chureh.
Many have long ago forgotten that it is
not by might nor by power, but by my
Spirit, saith che Lord of Hosts. The
tendencies are away from Pentecost, and
‘on toward Laodicea, that cold, heartless,
selfish, self-satisfied, rich, but spiritless
‘church. The attitude is simply this, We
are able to take cate of ourselves, we
have money, education, organization and
with these material things we can get
along. The power of God is denied; it is

bloodless religion, without the Holy
Ghost, and the Bible as the Word of
God is rejected in part or in whole
‘With this attitude, men who are sinners
to the men, become brutes and beasts:
instruments of Satan and destroyers of
all that is noble and worthy of the best
that God would impart unto us.
Pentecostal people, we must win the
peace. The mations who have won the
‘war are losing the peace, for the op-
pressed peoples of Europe and Asia will
‘be filled with greater hatred than ever
before, and will long remember our
bombs and tanks; in the midst of sur-
‘render there will be greater inward re-
istance against us. It is even $0 at
times in congregations, we win against
comes the great tragedy of losing the
peace among ourselves. The Scriptures
admonish us to be at peace among our-
selves, and if we fail in this, we are
sereater failures then we realize. A con-
iregation without the peace of God will
become a bitter gathering of carnal peo-
ple, and die as surely as the Bible says,
Il ye live alter the flesh, ye shall die.
‘The peace among the nations cannot
‘be won by force, and it can only be the
results of love among the people. TI
f world that is full of bitter memories,
fand void of the Holy Ghost ean never
achieve; for the love of God is shed
abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost
which is given unto us. The world does
fot have it, sinners do not have it; it is
fot natural to love ones enemies. This
love that is so sorely needed is given of
God, Ye must be born again to posses
this love. The Holy Ghost is given, then
the love of God is shed abroad in our
hearts, but first we must receive the
Holy Ghost. Only by the Holy Ghost
‘ean we truly have the peace of God, for
the Kingdom of God is righteousness,
and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
‘Again, it is not enough to have re-
ceived the Holy Ghost, but Paul a
monishes us with these words, He ye fill-
‘ed with the Spirit. That is to say, once
ye have received the Spirit, walk in the
Spirit, be led of the Spirit, For as many
as are led by the Spirit of God, they
the sons of God. Our sonship is not
merely bated on some named experi-
‘ence, but on the fact that we are led by
the Spirit of God; if we will always
keep this in mind it will help us to live
at peace among ourselves, and then are
‘we truly the sons of God.

‘Asan Organization, we, the United
Pentecostal Church, have won one of the
greatest battles in the history of this
great movement; we have won the war
against division and have become one
igainst a common enemy, but now we
must win the peace. It will require as
{great an effort to win the peace as it did
to win the war we have just won, but by
His Spirit we will win. If we can walle io
the Spirit, we will have the PEACE OF
GOD, if we walk after the flesh we can-
not expect anything but the works of the
flesh, which are these: hatred, variance,
emulations, weath, strife, seditions, her-
esis, envyings, and such like. Also, let
tus remember, that they which do such
things shall not inherit the Kingdom of
God,
Yes, we will win the peace, and that
by much prayer, praying until we see
‘another outpouring of the Spirit of God
Beloved, let ws pray for a Holy Ghost
revival, and walk in the Spirit so that
there will be the fruit of the Spiri
which is, love, joy, peace, ete. Thus the
‘world will know that we are the child

Great is the eternal plan of God. Bit
by bit and time to time God revealed an
iaolated portion of Hix great plan of
Salvation to His holy prophets.
The entire scheme of God's plan cen
tered around a person who was to be
born. And in this person all of God's in-
tentions for the human race would be
consummated.
His person was to bruise the eerpent’s
ind also by the serpent have Hix
heel bruised.
It was finally revealed to Abraham
‘several hundred years Iater that it would
be in his seed (even Jesus) that all na.
tions of the earth should be blessed.
‘As time passed on it was made clear
that this seed of person would come out
of the tribe of Judah, the fourth son of
Jacob by Leah. It is prophesied at
time that this person is to have a scep-
tee, which suggests rulership: and He
was to be a law giver; and unto him
‘shall the gathering of the people be.

come out of his loins and sit upon
throne. This prophesy points to the mi
Tenial reign of Jesus in the not too dis
tant future, if the signs of the times are
proof.
‘A close scrutiny of the Scriptures al-
Iuded to heretofore, make it mat
given. That is up
tuntil the time of Isaiah who alls Jesus
“Immanuel” (God with us).
‘The revelation becomes clearer. The
vague Line of truth begins to brighten
with divine lustre and brightness. The
miraculous is now being associated with
the normal human expectations concern-
ing Jesus. Why Isaiah! “You intimate
that 2 virgin shall conceive and bear 2
Son.” Amazing! Stupendous! Mystify-
ing! Here it is revealed that a vrigin, not
an ordinary married woman, is to have a
child. Well, this is sufficient to curb
any more wishful thinking on the part
of any future wife anxiously hoping that
she will bring forth the Messiah!
Not only a miracle birth by a virgin;
Dut the person is to be more than a
great man: prophet, judge, lawgiver,
kking, son of David; He is to be called
God with us (Immanuel Matt. 1:23).
Slowly through the ages the light
prophecy continuously pressed its way
through the jungle of sin and idolatry.
One could see it ficker its ray of hope
