Dear Hayley,
On behalf of Mercer University, I am pleased to inform you that you have been selected for admission to the University, and we
invite you to join the incoming class for Fall 2021. Congratulations!
Since our founding in 1833, Mercer University has impacted generations of individuals seeking enlightenment of the mind,
enrichment of the spirit, and passion for living a meaningful and accomplished life. We believe you possess the intellectual
aptitude and the social and leadership characteristics necessary to engage fully in our vibrant and stimulating scholastic
environment, becoming part of a rich and prestigious legacy of higher learning. Your academic credentials are consistent with
those of successful Mercerians who have preceded you, and your accomplishments give us confidence that you will make
significant contributions as a member of our University community. Therefore, in demonstration of our investment in your
academic potential, it is my pleasure to offer you an initial $20,000 Academic Merit Scholarship for the entering academic
year. This annual award is renewable each year that you are enrolled as a full-time, undergraduate student on the Macon
campus, up to four years—a total value of $80,000—as long as you maintain scholarship renewal requirements.
Your offer of admission and scholarship award are contingent upon your successful completion of your high school coursework
and adherence to all policies and requests for survey data for University students, as outlined in the Mercer University Catalog.
All admission requirements, including submission of final transcripts, must be met before you begin classes.
Please confirm your intention to join the Mercer University community by submitting the enclosed Enrollment Decision form
along with your $500 enrollment deposit, by May 1, 2021. Your deposit secures your position in the incoming class as well as
your placement for housing assignments and course registration. We understand that COVID-19 may be affecting your college
decision process. Please know that our team is here to help. Contact your admissions counselor if you need assistance
or accommodation during this time.
Sincerely,
Chris G. Pinto
