Little-Boy-Blue Poem
Little-Boy-Blue Poem
The first teacher was more of a do as I instruct you not allowing
any self-ideas or creativity. The children have set instructions to
follow and the teacher has a sample for children to copy. The
teacher idea was set on a right and a wrong way with no
individual creativity or self-expression knowing how each child’s
painting would turn out, all looking alike. Usually when this is
done children will get upset because they feel there’s may not
be as perfect or look like the teacher wants it to be. To show
perfection the teacher might help to make the art project
perfect. Usually when this is done the process is timed and
there is no creativity or self-images projected. Also projects
done like this are already self-design and props are already
prepared this does not give children to be free and creative and
use their imagination.
Little-Boy-Blue Poem
When he moved and went to a new school, he could express
himself using different colored markers and was not restricted
to any one design. He could paint with different colored paints
and markers. And approached art as self-expression using
different materials. It was an enjoyable experience for him to
express himself in his own way. He had plenty of time to carry
out his own explorations and not be restricted. His new teacher
was able to express his individuality toward each child. The new
teacher also expressed self-confident and it is “there” painting
and it reflects (their) creativity.
Little-Boy-Blue Poem
Each teacher had a different teaching method, but I feel like he
was happier with the second teacher because it gave him a way
to express himself and paint exactly what he felt was creative in
his mind. I feel like he enjoyed the second school more because
he was not so restricted and not feel as if his ideas of the
painting were not important. Young children have varieties of
ideas and concepts of the same subject even though they are
the same age.
