1. Chapter 28: My Bloodiest Fight


This chapter is about the victory of Emilio Aguinaldo in the battlefield, being able to

2. Chapter 30: Magdiwang Council Reorganized
This Chapter tackles about the split nature of the KKK, divided unto two factions called

“Magdalo” and “Magdiwang”, the latter of which was led by Bonifacio while the former was led

Magdiwang, claiming that the Magdiwang was a monarchical faction being led by their “king”
which is Bonifacio, while he claims that his faction (Magdalo) stood for Republican Ideals. In
the reorganization of the Magdiwang council, they took up effort on dividing up the territories
they have liberated through the use of regional governments.

3. Chapter 38: My Election to the Presidency

This chapter focused on the assembly meeting between the two factions (Magdalo and
Magdiwang) and their effort to streamline the leadership of the revolutionary government by

electing a universal leader among the two factions. The election was in Aguinaldo’s favor since
he was elected as the President of the Republic while Bonifacio was relegated to a lesser position
albeit it’s of huge significance as well. When the election was held, Aguinaldo was away from

to take oath at Tejeros) with that, Bonifacio held a meeting on which he declared the election in
Tejeros as null and void.

4. Chapter 42: Military Court


The political fallout in Tejeros prompted the two opposing factions to gather and quickly
prosecute the Bonifacio brothers in a military court which Colonel Lipana serving as the supreme
judge.

5. Chapter 44: Death of the Bonifacio Brothers


The military court sentenced the Bonifacio Brothers of death, being found guilty of
treason to the republic. Aguinaldo claimed that he wanted the sentence be reduced to exile
although two of his generals (being Mariano Noriel and Pio Del Pilar) convinced him to not
change the course of action to be taken.
