High School Scorers win again

By: Vince Carter

Today in Mr. Webb’s 5th period PE class, the High School Scorers bring home the championship.
After a long season and a lot of hard practices, the Scorers hard work paid off. Their efforts on the
court led them to the victory along with their sportsmanship and respect to their opponents. Captain
Lebron James said after the game “Im glad we were able to get the win but you must give credit to
the guys on the other side. They played hard tonight and every time we play them.” When talking to
the teacher Mr. Webb after class, he was proud of the respect that all his students showed today. The
Scores finished with a record of (12-2-0), followed by Duke (10-3-1), Connecticut who lost to the
Scorers finished third (7-6-0). North Carolina’s leading scorer Erlana, helped them finish in fourth
(6-6-1), Kentucky showed some promise early but slowed down the last couple of games (3-6-3), and
Louisville finished at the bottom (1-9-2). After the loss Duke’s captain Zion had a couple of words
about the game “Today my team played with a lot of heart. We knew we would have a tough matchup
facing the number 1 seed, but we were able to keep it close and i'm proud of my team for that. I give
the Scorers the utmost respect for the sportsmanship and fair play they show on the court and even
after the game. LeBron came to me after the game and thanked me for playing a great game and he
said that we would win the next one. You don’t see that in many people.” After a very well performed
season from all of the members in class I can say that we all deserve to win. Thank you for reading
every week and to my fans, write to you next year!
