Man was created in the image of God as a tripartite being with a body, soul, and spirit. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, the results were sorrow, labor, and death for all mankind. However, God provided a solution through his son Jesus Christ - by believing in him, one can be justified and have eternal life despite the offense caused by Adam.
