Introduction
I am a British, TEFL qualified teacher with over ten years of practical
experience lecturing English, English Literature and History in Asian
Universities and English Centres.
I presently live and work in Ho Chi Minh City as a native teacher of
English, lecturing at the Open University.
I have taught a wide range of age groups (from ages 5-60) and consider
myself to be a flexible, dynamic individual and an asset to any institution I
have worked for.

wife, Kim Hoang Ta, who attended your training session on the 29th of
August this year.

Work Experience
Foreign Language Teacher (Hunan Institute of Technology,
Hengyang, China) September 2010 – June 2015
I worked in the People's Republic of China as an ESL teacher for 5 years in
the Hunan Institute of Technology (Hengyang). My duties involved the day
to day education of students, aged between 18-22, working to correct
grammar, pronunciation and tonal issues that students had issues with.
Foreign Language Teacher (Yueyang Technical College, South
China) June 2015 – September 2015
As with my job in South Korea I took this position in order to diversify my
skills and teach a different age group. In Yueyang I taught children aged
between 14 and 16 (middle school age).
Foreign Language Teacher - (EBY Academy, South Korea)
January 2016 – June 2017
I took this job in order to diversify my skills as a teacher since I spent the
previous 5 years teaching in China at university level. Unlike in university
work I taught children aged between 7 and 12 years old.
Foreign Language Teacher (Jishou University, South China)
September 2017 – June 2018
I decided to work in a Chinese university for one more year as a return to
my roots as a Chinese university lecturer. I left in order to seek work in
other Asian territories.
IELTS Teacher/Consultant/M.C. (Major Education, Ho Chi Minh
City, Vietnam) October 2018 – June 2020
I worked at Major Education, an IELTS centre for children aged between
8-18. My duties involve all aspects of day to day teaching, as working at
times in conjunction with other departments as a trainer/consultant. I had
a hand in the creation of summer program syllabi with the centre’s R&D
department and hosted several events as an M.C. for the company as well.
Foreign Language Teacher (Open University, Ho Chi Minh City,
Vietnam) July 2020 – now
In my present position at open university I lecture English to students aged
between 18-21. My duties involve day to day teaching, as well as testing
and administrative duties such as submitting grades and marking student’s
test papers.

Hobbies and Interests
I am a very healthy individual who likes to play sports such as tennis and
