To Whom It May Concern:

My name is John Doe and I am writing to be considered as a student teacher candidate in your district. I
am a fourth-year student at Dakota State University majoring in Mathematics Education. I also have
football and basketball coaching endorsements as well as a K-12 Classroom Technology endorsement. I
am excited to begin student teaching as a final step of my teacher preparation program.

My skills, teaching philosophy, and experience have prepared me to be an exceptional student teacher for
your district. I excel in mathematics content knowledge and pedagogical approaches that are proven
effective with middle school students. I have strengths in organization, leadership, and innovation, and I
am passionate about promoting the holistic growth of students. My coursework at DSU has prepared me
to equip students with an attitude of lifelong learning as I provide them with a foundational understanding
of mathematical concepts complemented by relevant technology integration and literacy. I am also
interested in being involved in extracurricular roles in your district to support students in developing
every aspect of themselves.

I would be honored to be considered as a student teacher candidate for your district. Thank you for your
time and consideration; I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Respectfully yours,
John Doe
