SCOPE
1.1.1 This standard covers the requirements for
thermal insulation and fireproofing
attachments on vessels and exchangers.
Attachments included are support rings, plate
lugs, pins, and tie bars.
1.1.2 ALL thermal insulation and fireproofing
attachments shall be provided and installed
by vessel fabricator.
1.1.3 Insulation and fireproofing attachments on
cold vessels and exchangers shall be
considered on a project need basis.
1.1.4 Do not use this standard for insulation
supports on insulated tanks.
