Project Work: Developing a marketing plan for the full time day MBA program for ULAB
School of Business
Project brief:
University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh(ULAB) has submitted a proposal to launch a full time day MBA
program for the non-working students or students who would like to take a leave from their service and
complete this MBA program which should be intense and would require significant time commitment.
This will be a 63 fixed credit MBA program. Every term there will be 5 fixed courses allocated for the
students. After completion of 15 courses or 45 credits, students will be placed in an apprenticeship
program for 12 weeks. This apprenticeship program will cover 3 credits requirement. Once the
apprenticeship program is completed, the students will come back to the classes and will complete 4
concentration courses and one capstone courses.
The market information says that currently no other private university offers full time day MBA
program. however, the best MBA programs globally and locally are all full time day MBA program, which
is very intense and requires significant effort from students to cope up with. This MBA programs are
usually costly and guarantee a certain level of success for the students.
The best way to launch such an exclusive MBA program is to keep it very selective and hire only the best
students. This will help the university build a brand around this MBA program.
Keeping the current context in mind and knowing that the both public and private universities are
producing more MBA graduates than the market could absorb or producing low skilled MBA graduates
that the market does not need- develop a marketing plan for this new offering from ULAB School of
Business.

Please remember that you will have to conduct a proper market research and also talk to different
market actors to understand the cost for offering such exclusive MBA program.
Please take this project work very seriously as this is 30% of your grade. Please keep regular
communication with your course teacher regarding this project. Remember, you will not get this
