GODRY ROOFSHIELD
GODRY ROOFSHIELD is a heat reflective acrylic waterproof coating for all types of exposed roofs,
terraces and slabs. It’s long lasting glossy white colour and specially added microspheres reflect solar
radiation back into the atmosphere and keeps the interior of the building cooler. GODRY ROOFSHIELD
forms an elastic and tough membrane that provides excellent resistance against ingress of water.
Areas of Application
GODRY ROOFSHIELD can be used:
Ÿ In roofs, slabs, terraces & sunshades
Ÿ Over flat and sloped surfaces
Ÿ Over surfaces like concrete screeds, asbestos, lime terrace, brick-bat coba, etc. after suitable surface
preparations and repairs
Ÿ As exterior coating for water tanks

Application Procedure
Surface Preparation
1. Clean the surface thoroughly and ensure it is dry and is free from dust, dirt,
grease, loose particles and any contamination.
2. New cementitious surfaces should be allowed to cure for minimum of 28 days
before coating.
3. Damaged and uneven surfaces should be repaired using polymer-modified Step 1.

4. Existing membranes/coatings have to be mechanically treated to achieve a
gripping substrate. In case of bad adhesion, existing coating have to be
removed.
5. Bituminous membranes must be completely removed.
Application Method Step 2.
1. Prime the prepared surface using BESTBUILD MAXPRIME ER efflorescence BESTBUILD MAXPRIME ER
resistant primer and allow it to dry for 4 to 6 hours.

2. Stir GODRY ROOFSHIELD using a slow speed stirrer and apply the first coat
by using brush or roller. Allow it to dry for 4 to 6 hours.
3. Apply the second coat of GODRY ROOFSHIELD perpendicular to the first
coat to achieve a combined thickness of 2 mm.
Step 3.
4. Allow the coating to air cure for 5 to 7 days before opening the floor for light GODRY ROOFSHIELD

WATERPROOFING
Cautions
Ÿ Do not dilute with water
Ÿ Do not apply in direct sunlight or during rains
Ÿ Ambient temperature and material temperature should be between 10 to 40°C
Ÿ Ensure parapet walls, outlets, protrusions and corners are properly coated to achieve full waterproofing
Ÿ The coating is not designed for heavy foot traffic
Coverage
Approximately 10 sq. ft. per litre for two coats.
Packaging
Available in 4 and 20 litres containers.
Shelf Life & Storage
Shelf life is 24 months from the date of manufacturing, if stored in original and unopened packaging.
Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight.
