5 Product Description
The MA5800C is a series of integrated fiber-copper access devices. They support VDSL2,
Vectoring, SuperVector, SHDSL, GPON, and POTS access modes and provide Internet access,
voice, and video services to subscribers. As a series of large-/medium-capacity devices, they
share the same software platform and service boards.

5.1 Product Appearance
The MA5800C supports two types of subracks now. The only difference between these subracks
relies on the service slot quantity (they have the same functions and network positions).
MA5800C-X16 (large-capacity, ETSI)
MA5800C-X16 supports 16 service slots with backplane H805MABC.

Integrated Fiber-Copper Access
MA5800C enables fiber and copper to be integrated in one platform.
Copper access: xDSL, Vectoring/Vector Pro, SuperVector, and POTS services
Fiber access: GPON fiber access
High-Bandwidth Copper Access
MA5800C supports new copper technologies, such as Vectoring/Vector Pro and SuperVector ,
increase the broadband bandwidth over the existing copper lines.
Vectoring: The bandwidth can be boosted to about 60 Mbit/s within an 800-m distance, the
system supports a maximum of 768 subscriber lines.
Vector Pro: The bandwidth can be boosted to about 100 Mbit/s within an 800-m distance, the
system supports a maximum of 768 subscriber lines.
SuperVector: The bandwidth can be boosted to about 300 Mbit/s within a 300-m distance.
Better Video Experience
MA5800C has excellent architecture design, which enables users to enjoy better video
experience.
