Control and measuring devices and controls

1. Brake system status indicator.

a) The indicator lights up if

- the parking brake is on;

- the level of the brake fluid is low or the vacuum amplifier of the brake drive is broken;
- the electrical circuit of the indicator is faulty.

b) If the light comes on during the movement, slow down, leave the road and gently stop the
car.

- Check the parking brake, it may be on. If the parking brake is turned off or the indicator is
illuminated after it has been turned off, a malfunction has occurred in the braking system.
- Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir. - If the brake fluid level is low, then in a safe place,
check the braking performance of the vehicle. If you think that the brakes are still working quite
efficiently, then gently drive the car to the nearest repair site. If the brakes do not work, the
vehicle must be towed or evacuated for repair.
Caution: driving on a car with a low level of brake fluid is dangerous.

- If the level of the brake fluid is normal, the vacuum brake booster may be ineffective or the
indicator circuit may be faulty.

2. ABS indicator.

After the ignition is turned on, the indicator lights for a few seconds, then goes out. If the
indicator lights up while driving, there may be a malfunction in the anti-lock system.

Caution: repeatedly depressing the brake pedal may cause the indicator to turn on for a few
seconds.
3. Battery charging warning light.
a) The indicator light comes on when the battery is low.
b) If the test lamp illuminates while driving, the charging system is faulty or the generator belt is
loose. However, the engine will continue to operate until the battery is completely discharged.
Turn off the additional equipment (air conditioner, fan, radio, etc.) and move to the repair site.

4. The indicator of emergency pressure oil in the engine.

a) The indicator lights up if the oil pressure in the engine is too low.

b) If the warning lamp flashes or lights continuously while driving, then leave the road to a safe
place, stop the engine immediately.

- The indicator light may flash after sudden braking or when the engine is idling. There is no
fault if the indicator goes out with a slight increase in engine speed.

- The indicator light can be switched on when the engine oil level is too low. But this indicator is
not intended for low oil level information, so periodically check the level with a feeler gauge.
5. Low oil level indicator.
The indicator informs the driver of the low oil level in the engine. It is not recommended to start
the movement when the indicator is lit, but it is necessary to top up the oil according to the
requirements specified in the chapter "Maintenance." The indicator can light up if the car is on
an uneven surface, for example, on a slope.
6. Indicator "CHECK ENGINE".
The indicator lights up if there are any faults in the engine management system.

7. Low fuel level indicator.

The indicator turns on when the fuel level in the tank approaches zero. Depending on the
equipment of the car fuel can be enough for 40-60 km of the road along a good road. On the
slopes or during bends, the indicator may light up due to fluctuations in the fuel in the tank.

8. Indicator light and the driver's safety belt.

The indicator lights up when the ignition is switched on for a few seconds, and then goes out. If
the driver is not fastened with a seatbelt, the indicator lights in the instrument cluster and the
buzzer sounds.

9. Indicator of the presence of an open or loosely closed door.

The indicator stays on until all doors are fully closed.

10. Audible alarm when the door is opened.

The audible alarm will sound if the driver's door is opened when the ignition key is set to "LOCK"
or "ACC".

11. The glow plug indicator (diesel engines) informs the driver that the start-up system has
started. In this case, the ignition key is in the "ON" position. It is recommended to start the
engine only after the indicator goes out.

12. The water indicator in the fuel filter (diesel engines) lights up if there is water in the fuel filter.
It is necessary to remove water from the filter and only then you can start moving.

13. Odometer and mileage meter.

a) The odometer shows the total mileage of the vehicle.

c) The button to the left of the speedometer is used to reset the mileage counter to zero.
b) The mileage counter shows the distance traveled since the last setting of the counter to zero.
