NARRATIVE REPORT ON
LARVICIDING ANTIMOS

“ Dengue labanan, mabuting kalusugan pangalagaan at malinis na kapaligiran

panatilihin. “ what a wonderful quotation. This quotation were introduced to the pupils and
discussed to impart to the students some knowledge on how a single mosquito can harm a
body of a person.

Mosquitoes are dengue carrier which are very harmful to the pupils and also to
adults. The carrier incriminated throughout most endemic areas is the yellow-fever mosquito
called Aeded Aegypti. This mosquito is called a tiger mosquito. The spread of dengue is
unpredictable because there are four serotypes of the virus. This starts with a simple fever
that comes every other day. It can kill a child in just a blink of an eye. Dengue carrier
mosquito lays their eggs in stagnant water, drums of water without cover or even in a canal.
Even in a water due of a grass, dengue carrier mosquito loves to live in. That is why, we
should try to avoid to have stagnant water in our surroundings because it is where
mosquitoes lay their eggs. We should try to pull some weeds and cover our water
containers.

To be free from these dangerous illness, Antimos were distributed by the DepEd
personnel to be poured in any stagnant water in the school vicinity. And Curva Elementary
School made this activity last October 10,2018.
