This service bulletin is issused to clarify the procedure of REKES memory input on workshop manual.
REKES memory is inputed when,
● The REKES transmitter is lost or faulty
● The REKES receiver is faulty
Work procedure :
1. 1st method : input memory using the switch of the REKES receiver
1-1. Location of the REKES receiver
1-1-1. Musso (before 1998 ; V.I.N. ~ 140079)
: under the dashboard and heater unit (rear side of audio head unit)

1-4-1. Old version receiver (~ Apr.19,1997)
① Replace the REKES receiver with a new one and connect the wiring connector when
the REKES receiver is faulty only.
② Set the input memory switch of the REKES receiver onto the no.1 or no.2 position and
push the lock or unlock button on the REKES transmitter.
③ Set the input memory switch of the REKES receiver onto the central position and
close all doors.
④ Check the operation of central door lock system by pushing the lock and unlock button
on the REKES transmitter.
⑤ This REKES version can use two transmitters simultaneously for a vehicle.
1-4-2. New version receiver (Apr.20,1997 ~)
① Replace the REKES receiver with a new one and connect the wiring connector when
the REKES receiver is faulty only.
② Set the input memory switch of the REKES receiver onto the position and
push the lock or unlock button on the REKES transmitter.
③ Set the input memory switch of the REKES receiver onto the position and
close all doors.
④ Check the operation of door locking system by pushing the lock and unlock button
on the REKES transmitter.
⑤ This REKES version can use only one transmitter for a vehicle.
2. 2nd method : diagnosis socket use

② DC 5V current supply between terminal no.1(ground) and no.4(REKES input memory)
on the diagnosis socket in engine room.
③ Push the lock or unlock button on the REKES transmitter.
④ Input memory and close all doors.
⑤ Check the operation of door locking system by pushing the lock and unlock button
on the REKES transmitter.

→ Connect the terminal no.3(power supply B+,12V) and terminal no.4(REKES input memory)
which are on the diagnosis socket in engine room with service lead wire.
◆ Musso 2001 model year only
→ Connect the terminal no.3(REKES input memory) and terminal no.16(power supply B+,12V)
which are on the diagnosis socket in engine room with service lead wire.
③ Push the lock or unlock button on the REKES transmitter.
④ Input memory and close all doors.
⑤ Check the operation of door locking system by pushing the lock and unlock button
on the REKES transmitter.
