MINUTES OF THE MEETING


ORIENTATION ON THE GUIDELINES OF UPDATING THE BASIC EDUCATION
STATISTICS FOR THE BOSY 2019-2020 IN THE BASIC EDUCATION INFORMATION
SYSTEM (BEIS) and LEARNER INFORMATION SYSTEM (LIS)

Date and Time: August 22, 2019 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM


Place: Sto Cristo Integrated School Conference Hall

In accordance to Division Memo No. 176, s. 2019, the orientation on EBEIS and
LIS was conducted thru the leadership of our division planning officer Mam Charlotte M.
Bungay. Before going to the orientation proper a word of encouragement was given to us by
Mam Leonida Garcia. She emphasized the importance of giving the exact information in the
EBEIS that will help the national office in giving the needs of our learners.

The first to discuss was Mam Anita P. Domingo, EPS in Values Education and
Madrasah Education Program. She encouraged all schools to enroll all the Muslim learners to
Madrasah every Saturday at Sto. Cristo Integrated School.

Sir Derek G. Pasion, in- charge of the DRMM in our division defined the different terms
used in the GESP focusing on the national disasters and armed conflicts happening in the
school. He also said that only those incident who happened within the 1km radius should be
reported.

A representative from the health department also discussed about the different health
programs in the GESP form like the SBFP, Project WINS and waste segregation.

In the afternoon Mam Marissa Nuguid, LIS coordinator of Sto. Cristo Integrated School
discussed on Dep. Ed Order No. 47, s. 2016 regarding the acceptance of Kindergarten
learners. She also discussed the amendments of the said order.

The last speaker was Mam Charlotte M. Bungay, our division planning officer discussed
all the remaining table in the GESP form. The EBEIS site will be open this September for us to
update and upload information. She also named all the signatories in the GESP form.

The following were also emphasized upon the enrolment and accepting of moved in
learners we should always attached the Annex 2 from Deped Order No. 3 s. 2018.

School Form 10 should be used from Grade 1 to 3 and in case of transfer the same
SF10 should be use regardless of originating school. No need to write anything on the other
boxes like no entry and the like. In case the learner dropped out from school write in the form
137 the date of effectivity. The attachment for those pending enrollment should be given to her
office including the letter.

One thing that she also quoted is the comparison of the enrolment in the LIS and the
SF4 submitted in here office in our case these were the enrolment in the SF4 and in the LIS.

The meeting ended in a simple reminder in being careful in enrolling and encoding the
details of the learners because it would take time and effort to revert and cancel all pending
enrolments.
