According to (Sinclair, 2002), the mass production of PC
chips, circuit boards and accessories of all types has led
to the growth of a thriving assembly industry in PC
machines. The result is that it has for many years been
possible for anyone with facilities for assembling circuit
boards into cases to put together PCs with capabilities
equal to all but a few modern designs. The sheer number of
small-scale suppliers, and the standardization of design,
indicates how easy this work can be, using plug-in boards
from the lowest cost sources. Construction, in this sense,
can mean assembly, and not necessarily much assembly in some
examples. The small-scale assemblers, most of whom can offer
machines with high specifications, cannot necessarily offer
much more than hardware. In particular, they cannot offer a
manual that makes much sense to the first-time user, and
even an experienced PC user can be baffled by a new machine
if little or no information is available.
(Chambers, 2009), The first reason — and, for some
people, the most important reason — for building a computer
is to save as much money as possible over the cost of a
retail PC (especially if you’re buying a PC from a local
retail store, or if you’re building a super-fast gaming
system). When you build your own computer, you’re not paying
for all the overhead tacked on to the original price of a
computer, including a storefront, advertising, and a
salesperson’s paycheck. Many retails PC packages don’t
include a monitor, so often the price that you see isn’t for
a complete system. And yes, you can save a hundred dollars
or more over the price of a complete PC offered by a big
mail-order company. It’s simply a matter of searching for
the right companies that sell computer components at rock-
bottom prices. Remember, using a Web site such as
www.pricewatch.com can bring you — in just a few seconds —
the best prices available anywhere. Even if you have to buy
every single component from your computer case to your
mousepad, you’re still likely to save a considerable amount
of cash by assembling your own computer.
According to (R. Thompson, 2011) and (B. Thompson,
2011), Building PCs isn’t just for techies anymore. It used
to be, certainly. Only gamers and other geeks actually built
their PCs from the ground up. Everyone else just called Dell
or Gateway and ordered a system. That started to change
around the turn of the century. The first sign was when
general merchandisers like Best Buy started stocking upgrade
components. If you wanted to expand the memory in your PC or
install a larger hard drive or add a CD writer, you could
now get the components you needed at the local big-box
store. A year or two later, things changed again. Big-box
retailers started carrying PC components like cases and
motherboards—parts seldom needed by upgraders, but necessary
to build a new PC from scratch. Nowadays, although Best Buy
and other local retailers may not carry as broad a range of
PC components as some online specialty retailers, you can
get everything you need for a new PC with one visit to a
big-box store.
PC Building Simulator is an application in the form of
a semi game that aimed at people who want to be able to
assemble a PC alone or just want to try the configuration
new hardware without risking major damage to computer
hardware components. Through this application, the developer
hopes that anyone can try it build PC carelessly without
having to be afraid damage the original hardware or even
remove the contents purse. (Muhammad Maulana, 2017)

Fahrurozi (2020), highlighted that using Pc building

PC Building Simulator in teaching and learning process very

increasing passive teaching, towards interactive
learning. Application PC Building Simulator simulation app

the opportunity to help each other, discuss each other,
argue, collaborate, and be creative in the process
learning. Expected by using a PC This Building Simulator can
improve learning outcomes students.
According to the study of H.A. Musril, J. Jasmienti and
M. Hurrahman(2020) When learning is carried out it is not
supported by the number of computer hardware components that
match the number of students, so it is difficult for
students to understand and practice the subject matter. The
limited number of demonstration components is due to budget
constraints for procurement. Many of the demonstration
components in the school are damaged, due to mistakes made
by students during practice. Therefore, it is necessary to
develop learning media for computer assembly using virtual
reality technology.

the affective domain, both belong to the good category,

A related study from T.H. Tharanganie, W.N.
Wickremasinghe and G.P. Lakraj, An Assessment of Computer
Awareness and Literacy among Entry-Level University of
Colombo Undergraduates: A Case Study, the demand for the
computer literate is increasing at a rapid pace, possessing
of computer skills is an important asset for a university
student. Having a good computer knowledge improves the
quality of their study programs. At least 60% of the
entering students had access to computers. Approximately 60%
of the students had used email, online information services,
or the World Wide Web. Students used word processing most
frequently and database management systems software least
often. The perspective of computer literacy in Implications
for teaching a college-level course., involves conceptual
knowledge related to basic terminology (including social,
ethical, legal, and global issues) and skills necessary to
perform tasks in word processing, database, spreadsheets,
presentation, graphics, and basic operating system
functions.
Working with digital games as a teaching methodology
requires definition and understanding of the public, that
is, the profile of students, the class in question, the
subject or content to be explored, the resources and
technologies available, about the rules and combinations for
interactive student/game actions, the elements of
competitiveness and gamification that will be explored
(levels, ranking, stages, medals, awards…), the experiences
that the "users" will go through, the objectives that the
teacher intends to achieve with exploration of the game
itself. The key is to understand that digital game-based
learning is a interactive process, of exchange, of action
between man/machine and man/machine/man. The center of the
knowledge construction process is the student, who is in
evidence in the "command" of the actions, obviously, under
the guidance of the professor, but the authorial focus of
learning is in the student, precisely because he assumes the
main role in the player. R.O. Costa and P.G. Silva, (2019)
Those above stated studies conclude that Pc Building
Simulator play an increasingly important role to build a
computer. It has been widely used in many fields such as in
computer, mobile phones and etc. The proposed
system/application will surely help individuals especially
students, teachers, and in gaming industry in building their
own computer through selecting the best parts that can
satisfy their need and make a budget meal computer.
