Principles of Shipping Accounting in Accordance with I.F.R.S.
Aim
The objective of the seminar is to present the accounting plan of the shipping company, to
analyse in details the income and expenditure accounts, as well as the assets and liabilities of
the shipowning and shipmanagement companies. Also, the participants will examine the
procedure of preparation of the financial statements in accordance with International
Accounting Standards and I.F.R.S issues.

Mr. George Tsamantas is a certified Accountant with an experience in auditing and shipping
accounting since 1988. He is a Chief Accountant in Common Progress S.A. since 1998. He is
holding a BA in Economics & Accounting, University of Kingston, has been trained on the
I.F.R.S. - International Accounting Standards and is a member of Association of Chartered
Certified Accountants (ACCA).
