1. Identify the personal health issues and concerns in times of pandemic;
2. Determines fitness activities applicable at home amid pandemic;
3. Crafts a fitness design that addresses concern to some health issues most especially in
this time of pandemic; and
4. Raise health awareness to combat COVID-19 pandemic.
Learning Outcome
At the end of the lesson, the learners are expected to be acquainted with the value of
Participating in Physical Activities.

Directions: Watch the short video about the Mr. Unhealthy and Mr. Healthy. Present it to

1. What does the video want to show or tell us? Do you know someone who has the same
lifestyle with Mr. Unhealthy? How do they like?

2. How will you help him/her to cope up from such habits?


3. What is the possible fitness activities can be applied at home?

ANALYSIS
Directions: Observe the fitness activities presented on the screen, decide if such fitness
activity can be applied at home by raising the happy face if applicable, and sad emoji for NOT
applicable then support your answers.

Directions: Watch the video clip about unhealthy habits that causes 3 common chronic
diseases. Answer the guide questions.

 Hypertension- High blood

called hypertension, is blood pressure that is higher than normal. Your blood
pressure changes throughout the day based on your activities.

Guide questions:
1. What can you infer from the graph given?
2. Based on the graph, what age has the highest percentage of hypertension patients?
3. How much greater are the hypertension victim age 40-59 from women than men? 7.8

 Diabetes- is a chronic (long-lasting) health condition that affects how your body
turns food into energy. Most of the food you eat is broken down into sugar (also
called glucose) and released into your bloodstream.
China is the country with the highest number of diabetics worldwide, with around 116
million people suffering from the disease.

 Heart Disease- refers to any condition affecting the heart. There are many types,
some of which are preventable. Unlike cardiovascular disease, which includes
problems with the entire circulatory system, heart disease affects only the heart.

INPUT:
FITT FACTORS APPLIED TO A PHYSICAL CONDITIONING PROGRAM

Certain factors must be part of any fitness training program for it to be successful. These factors
are Frequency, Intensity, Time and Type. The acronym FITT makes it easier to remember them.
Please review the information below to help you complete the FITT Table. There is an example of
a completed FITT table in the resource section at the back of this packet.

Definition of FITT Principle


F = Frequency. Describes often activity takes place in a week.
I = Intensity. Describes how vigorous the participant is engaged in activity.
T = Type. Describes the specific activity selected.
T = Time. Describes how long the participant is engaged in activity.

Note: Please use the recommendations on the table below when you develop your 1 week fitness
plan.
