SGC ROLES & FUNCTIONS
a.) PRESIDENT - The president shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the Association. He
/She shall preside at all meetings of the Board and at all general membership meetings. He/ She
shall represent the association in whatever undertakings where its participation is necessary. He/
He/ She shall sign all contracts pertaining to the affairs of the association.
b.) VICE-PRESIDENT - In the absence or incapacity of the president, he/she shall perform
the duties of the President. He /She is automatically the chairman of the FUND
MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. He/ She shall perform such other duties assigned to him/her
by the President or by the Board.
c.) SECRETARY- He/ She shall attend all meetings of the board as well as general
membership meetings. He/ She shall keep records of all the proceedings in such meetings
specially minutes of meetings, prepare and maintain a general membership roll and perform
such other duties as may be assigned to him/ her by the president or by the board.
d) TREASURER -He/ She shall be the official custodial of ALL funds and properties of
the association. He/ She shall cause the preparation of a proper budget; administer of the
COLLECTION of Funds due to the association and the proper USAGE and DISPOSITION
thereof under the direction and approval of the executive Board. He /She shall keep prescribed
books of accounts and render financial reports during regular Board meetings and a bi-annual
report that shall be audited by associations auditor and supervisory committees and upon
approval of the board, said bi-annual financial report shall be presented to the members in a
general membership meeting. He/ She shall sign all checks and withdrawal slips; he/she shall;
sit as a member of the fund management committee. He/ She shall also perform such other
duties as may be assigned to him by the president or the board.
e) PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER - He/ She shall be the public and press as well as
the propaganda officer and perform other duties assigned by the board.
f) BUSINESS MANAGER - Think and plan undertakings that would enhance the financial
business conditions of the association. He/ She shall act as the disturbing officer of the
association, receiving such funds from the treasurer and shall submit a report on the liquidation
of such funds during regular board meetings. He/ She shall serve as the Chairman of the project
Development Committee.
g) FARMER REPRESENTATIVES – represent farmers, in order to ensure their
participation in the formulation and implementation of policies and agricultural development
actions.
i) DRIVER REPRESENTATIVES - operates a vehicle over established route[s] to
deliver and sell products. May be expected to render services and collect money from customers.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
i) IP REPRESENTATIVE - provide support in sustaining the constitution and operations
of the Indigenous peoples at his/her level of representation, either at the barangay, municipal, or
city.
