2.4 Constituents and structure outline
2.4.1 Let-off station
In order to improve the working efficiency and save space for changing fed material coil, the
let-off unit adopts two workplaces. Liner unwinding and position change by horizontal rotating
are driven by motor. The let-off unit consists of drive system for unwinding device, turn-back
support & drive system, chassis positioning and retracting.
The drive system consists of reduction speed motor, synchronous pulley and clutch. Ply is let
off by driving the liner in avoidance of the textile being pulled out too much. There is reverse
winding unit to rewind liner in the period of production, convenient for liners in various
specifications.
Belt tensioner is used to ensure in steady and reliable drive in synchronous pulley. The drive of
turn-back consists of one drive for reduction speed motor and support for gear turning back. It
works smoothly and steady.
In order to accurately turning back after workplace change, a limit switch is mounted at rotating
support. It is positioned through checking two blocks in circular plane chassis. Furthermore, two
sets of cylinder auto retracting in chassis may guarantee accurate workplace change. Hand
lock is considered for the purpose of safety.
2.4.2 Festoon
The unit consists of welding frame, dancer roller, guide rollers, nip rollers, splice table.
Dancer roller may float up and down along frame by the drive of ply. The dancer roller will go
downward when more ply is fed than ply being cut, whereas it will go upward.
A sprocket wheel unit uses to keep accordance in two ends of dancer. Tension of ply is
adjusted through increasing or deceasing weight blocks.
For the purpose of reducing time in emergency stop and maintaining even tension during
cutting, nip roller driven by cylinder is installed in the front top of support. A roller under nip is
fixed for plies splicing. When ply coil finishes, a pair of photoelectric switches work. Cylinder is
inflated and nip roll descend to clamp ply, thus tail of ply stop moving.
2.4.3 Cutting unit
Cutting unit consists of transporting unit, cutter cart, fabric hold-down, motor-driven angle
adjustment and pneumatic-locked device.
Transporting unit completes with support, drive, roller and belt & tensioner.
Integrated support has length of 9m, welded by rectangle seamless steel and carbon steel.
Drive covers servo reduction motor, synchronous pulley and drive roll driven by conveyor
actuated by synchronous belt. Single thin belt speed at 5~60m/min.
Blade cart is composed of cart brace, roller, swing arm, knife and cylinder. Jagged disc type of
blade actuated by synchronous belt through mini motor drive, rotate at high speed(about
7400rpm). Blade shaft lifts and descends by the control of mini cylinder. Shaft put down when
cutting ply, lift up when stroke back. Blade shaft, mini cylinder and motor are all fitted on cart.
Blade drive has rodless cylinder, guiding rail and cushion cylinder, line rail and carriage. Blade
cart moves back and forth by the work of rodless cylinder. Damper is mounted at both ends
between which cart going back and forth in order to absorb residual inertia force at the end of
travel.
Entire cutter drive may turn along vertical central axis for adjusting angle, also called angle
adjustment. It is made up with reducer-motor, chain wheel, chain, encoder, scale, finger and
cylinder. Cylinder switch to unlock as adjusting angle and dial indicator by motor to the demand
angle, finally lock up.
Fabric hold-down consisting of fabric plate, lift plate and cylinder is fixed up blade rail. Fabric
plate descends after ply is fed to position and slightly clamp ply with conveyor. Ply is cut after
completely clamping down. Therefore cutting accuracy is increased greatly. Cylinder and lift
plate move up until cutting finish.
2.4.4 Windup station
Windup station consists of support, drive, rubber rollers, guide rollers, length device.
2.4.5 Electrical system
This system consists of PLC, industrial touch panel, servo system, variable speed system and
peripheral control loop composed of other elements. Advanced servo system and variable
speed system is good assurance in steady operation of whole production line.
PLC, Mitsubish FX2N applies in the center of inter-link control. It completes logic control of
production line, synchronous speed control. Industrial operation terminal GOT930 is selected
for convenience of straight viewing working situation in each device of whole line. It is available
by this system to formulate process parameters and correct cutting width. Meanwhile, operating
terminal may monitor equipments in every workplace.
