UGANDA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY 25 Tea72024 Cente of Excellence in the Heart of Arica Dear Sir/Madam ‘STUDENT PLACEMENT FOR FIELDWORK/EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING Greetings from Uganda Chistian University As part of our training program, our students in the Faculty of Social Sciences are required to undertake a placement in an agency related to their area of specialty in order to gain practical skils. We are very grateful to those organizations which have supported us in the past by taking on our students, and wish to request both our old and new partners to continue this support. This is therefore to introduce to you... Program .. os ‘The placement is meant to provide students with an opportunity to put into practice the theoretical knowledge they learn in class, as well as to leam from professionals in various disciplines and fields of work. The student(s) is/are expected to be in your organization for a total of 10 weeks, any time between 7* June and 28% August, 2021. This should add up to a total of 50 working days (400 hours) of practical work. We request that they be exposed fo as many aspects of the organization's work as possible in order to provide them with a rounded experience under guidance. We expect that you will provide a supervisor for the students as well as an assessment of the student's performance and ability to learn ai the end of the placement. Students in their fist year have only had preliminary introduction to their various courses, and may not be well equipped to handle technical aspects of work on their own. Second year students are expected to be better equipped and could be assigned relatively greater responsibilty. in either case, students are expected to demonstrate the desire to lear and to ‘engage fully in the organization's activites, under guidance.
