Travel and tourism made up 6% of Zimbabwe's total GDP in 2019, contributing $1.264 billion, and employed 160,700 people, accounting for 6.2% of total employment. International visitor spending brought in $197 million, or 4.4% of total exports. While global GDP grew 2.5% in 2019, travel and tourism grew significantly faster at 3.5% and accounted for 1 in 10 global jobs.
