G. Complete the conversation. Use keep, keeps, need or needs with passive invinitives or gerund of
verbs given.

Tim: Guess what? Someone broke into my car last night!

Jan : Oh, no. What did they take?

Tim: nothing! But they did a lot of damage. The lock needs to be repaired . (repair) and the
window need to be replaced. (replace)

Jan : it was probably some young kid having “fun”.


Tim: Yeah, some fun. I think they had a party in my car! The seats need to be cleaned. (clean)

H. Write about something you bought that had something wrong with it. In the first paragraph,
describe the problem. In the second paragraph explain what you did about it.

Example:

A few days ago, I bough a piece of pant in online marketplace. When the package arrived, I opened the
package and …. I found out that the is to small and the are loose stiches, I immediately contacted the
seller and asked for an exchange, but the seller asked me for proof that it was really his fault, luckily I
had time to make a video when I opened the package and finally the seller accepted my request to
exchange the item
