Lubrication System Features
Oil Pan
- Two separate pickup tubes & single strainer for engine
driven oil pump (required to suit flow / size limitation).
Filter Head
- Houses 4 spin on filters .
- Incorporates differential pressure by-pass valve.
Oil Pump
- Sump mounted.
- Integral pressure regulator.
NOTE: QSK 60 Gas Engines do NOT have any Oil Thermostats
fitted, oil cooler continuously supplied prior to filtering.

•Combined Full Flow and By-Pass Filter
( Venturi-Combo filter).
• 85-90 % to ‘StrataPore’ synthetic media.
- 28/30 micron ‘absolute’ rating. (98% efficiency)
• Plus 10-15% to stacked disc by-pass section.
- 7 micron ‘absolute’ rating. (98% efficiency)

Venturi Combo - What are the
Advantages?
Simplify Plumbing
– Remove the need for separate bypass circuit
Remove parasitic loss of fluid to sump
– Improves fuel consumption since 10% of the fluid is
not returning to Sump.
Allows Combo type filter to replace existing Full Flow
filter.
– Achieve Finer Filtration with Bypass Media

Filtration System
Venturi Combo
What does it do ?
Generates flow through the highly restrictive bypass media.
Reduces the required filter restriction.
How does it do it ?
The flow through full flow element is restricted by the
nozzle throat, forcing more flow through the bypass section.
A low pressure zone created in the throat of the nozzle,
generates a suction on the outlet of bypass media, pulling
more flow through the bypass section.
The nozzle diffuser reduces the fluid velocity, recovering a
portion of the energy lost in the throat. This effectively
reduces the total restriction of the filter.
