INTRODUCTION
Adamu Tafawa Balewa College of Is a school aimed at educating preparing prospective

educators for the profession of teaching. All institution of learning is a system which

includes management and information management.

Adamu Tafawa Balewa college of education kangere has been a school which is dealing

with stack of information and data, ranging from the staff Data, and students Data. And

this has been done manually, as a result the school is having high chance to experience

loss of data and information in the future.

It has come to our attention and notice that during the natural disaster of wind storm

on some strategic offices, there is a serious damage which was made to the data and

records stored in the offices which later pose sufficient threat to the record keeping and

it calls for the reconstruction of the mode of operation and the storage facilities in the

offices. Which will be the serious need for the reconstruction and replanning of the data

storage system of the institution.

As regarding the question, “Which building will I redesign in the institution?” I think it is

deemed necessary to fix the management information unit (MIS), as it will be the

strength of the institution as the school management is in need of data and information

to perform tasks, either operational or strategic, therefore the Management Information

Unit is the in need of urgent reconstruction and enough fund is supposed to be

deployed to the unit with supervision, and timely operational and performance

evaluation.

Progress of all institutions; educational, financial, political or business organizations are

determined by the level of information management, how efficient is the work of the

unit in charge, how well will they be able to obtain, and manipulate informations as well

as the storing capability and performance of the unit. As loss of information is like a

brain dead to a body of organization.

Therefore, in regarding to where to redesign, We will certainly restructure and

reconstruct both the operation, and the material in the Management information Unit.
