Steve Jobs was born in 1955 in San Francisco and put up for adoption. He dropped out of Reed College but learned calligraphy skills that later influenced Macintosh design. Jobs co-founded Apple and pioneered the personal computer revolution. He was also chairman of Pixar and helped create the first full-length computer animated film, Toy Story. After being forced out of Apple, Jobs returned in the 1990s and led the company's reinvention with products like the iPod, iPhone, and iPad that transformed technology and daily life. Jobs passed away in 2011 after battling pancreatic cancer.

Biography of Steve jobs

Jobs was born on feb 24, 1955 in San


Francisco, California , and put up for
adoption. He was raised in the San Francisco
Bay Area. He attented Reed College in 1972
before dropping out that same year, and
travelled through India in 1974 seeking
enlightenment and studying Zen Buddhism.
Jobs was adopted by a low qualified with
poor economic status mechanic’s family.
He felt different experiences in his life but he
says, connecting started to make sense in the
end.He was inspired by the beautiful posters
on the wall of his college.He joined
calligraphy classes i.e of his intrest and learnt
serif and san typefaces. His knowledge and
skills of calligraphy turned out to be a kind
boon while he was designing the first
Macintosh Computers after 10 years.
He was the American business
magnate , industrial designer, investor, and
media proprietor. He was the chairman , chief
executive officer (CEO) , and co-founder of
Apple. The Jobs speech ‘how to live before
you die’ adopts a tripartite structure and
uses autobiographical anecdotes to
communicate a message of resilience and
personal integrity. Jobs is widely recognized
as a pioneer of the personal computer
revolution of the 1970s and 1980s along with
his early business partner and fellow Apple
co-founder Steve Wozniak. Jobs was one of
the first entrepreneurs to understand that
the personal computer would appeal to
aboard audience, at least if it did not appear
to belong in a junior high school science fair.
In 1979 he led a small group of apple
engineers to a technology demonstration at
the Xerox Corporation’s Palo Alto Research
Centre (PARC) to see how the graphical user
interface could make computer easier to use
and more efficient. In 1990s Jobs focused the
company on its innovative software system
NEXTSTEP.
Meanwhile in 1986 Jobs acquired a
controlling interest in Paxir , a computer
graphics firm that had been founded as
division of Lucasfilm Ltd, the production
company of Hollywood movie director
George Lucas. Over the following decade Jobs
built Pixar into a major animation studio that,
among other achievements, produced that
forst full-length feature film to be completely
computer animated, Toy story in 1995. He
eventually sold the studio to Disney Company
2006.
In late 1996 Apple, saddled by huge financial
losses and on the verge of collapse, hired a
new chief executive , semiconductor
executive Gilbert Amelio.In 2001 Jobs started
reinventing Apple for the 21st century. That
was the year that Apple introduced itunes, a
computer program for playing music and for
converting music to the compact MP3 digital
format commonly used in computers and
other digital devices. Later on he introduced
of the touch screen , iphone, a mobile
telephone with capabilities for playing MP3
and videos for accesing internet .
He present life and death philosophy and
limited life time for us. He recalls his
experience with cancer.
Jobs was diagnosed with a pancreatic
neuroendocrine tumor in 2003. He died of
respiratory arrest related to the tumor at age
56 on October 5 ,2011.
I found him really an inspiring personality
with true life experiences and struggles.
