Write a reflection paper and consider these following questions.
1. Who am I? Why I am here? What is my purpose here on earth?
I am a friend, a sister, and a daughter. I’m Trixie Karylle Valencia and I just turned
nineteen years old last June 28th . I was born in Dinalupihan, Bataan. I have a younger brother
and older sister living with me. I have a short black hair paired with my color nut brown eyes.
I’m 5’1 feet tall and a little plus size. I like listening to music while reading manhwas or mangas
on my free time. Lastly, I’m an extrovert who loves to be alone.
I think that the reason of my existence is my purpose on Earth. I am me and that’s the
reason why I’m here on Earth. I’m here because I’m a friend you could cry, laugh, be stressed
with and be scared with. Also, as a friend, I’m not perfect. I can’t be with you 24/7 of the day but
nothing will change. You’re my friend today and even we wouldn’t be able to see each other
tomorrow, still, you’re my friend and nothing will change. It maybe not all the time but I’ll be
there, my mind will be there and I’ll be praying for you. Second, I’m a sister to my two siblings.
I’m here to be their person as a supporter and a basher. I’ll be there to tell them the truth and give
them advices. Lastly, I’m a daughter who is ready to serve my mother who is a LUPUS fighter.
I’ll still cook and dress her, like the usual. I’ll be her hand since she can’t longer use her hands
due to her condition. I’ll make her wear pretty clothes and do her make up. I’m here to take care
of here and do my duties as a daughter.
Realisticly, my purpose is to make living for my family and for people who leans onto
me. Finishing a degree, to travel anywhere, to live a sucessful life, those are my worldly
purposes in life. Aside all that, my purpose is to pursue goals which is finding my purpose. I
believe life is a non-ending process of purpose searching. It doesn’t happen in just a blink of an
eye. The process includes taking an action, experiencing life, connecting with different people,
through bad and good decisions and learning from it.
2. Reflect more about the current situation now.
I believe modern education, a product of our situation, is both a blessing and an affliction.
It depends how you deal with it. I was a very neglectful child to my studies. Being in house,
studying, was very hard for me. I’m an “ate” who is in-charge on almost everything in the house.
Also, a daughter to my mother who is now bedridden due to her LUPUS disease. It was tiring
and draining. I know, I’m very privilege to have the amenities of internet connection and a
phone, but to be honest, it is slowly eating me up. Looking on the brighter side, being able to
almost finish my first year on college brings me hope that I can do and I just need an extra push.
This situation gives me a chance that I should do more and stop self-pitying. I think I should stop
worrying too much and focus more on the things that really matter. I learned that there are people
who’ll help you and give you an another shot to prove yourself. Life maybe hard for me but
there’ll be a time where life would be kinder to me. Now, I must work harder and smarter. I
should stop all my past unnecessary habits that could hinder my growth. It’s time for me to also
help myself for the betterment of my whole life. I’ll strive more to pursue my goals and to be
able to get what I want. This situation gives me an another shot and I owe you that sir, thank you.
