Products
Over the years, Saftex has manufactured a wide variety of basic products, such as: T-shirt, sweat-
shirt, ladies & kids-wear, etc. Currently, Saftex has evolved to the level of manufacturing
specialized knitwear-products, by keeping the track of the latest market-trends.
Saftex has crossed the border of using only
ordinary cotton as a raw material. BASE’s vast infrastructure allows manufacturing almost every
knitwear product for men, women and kids.

Capacity
Saftex has always been pushing the limits of its capacity, and can now handle volume orders with
ease. As a composite manufacturer, Saftex advanced from knitting, dyeing and finishing to
garment-manufacturing at a massive scale.
Saftex's Fabric Unit, powered by superior European machineries, is capable of producing more
than 5 tons of fabric per day. Saftex has been increasing its manufacturing-capacity over the years,
to convey volume orders of clients, in a shorter lead-time.
Currently Saftex garment has 4 stores in the capital city of the countries located on

In the near future the Garment has set planned to open two stores out of Addis Ababa. Those places
are Bale Robe in Oromia regional state and Asosa in Benishangul Gumuz regional state.
The company is now ready to move to another place with a focus on export: the owner has signed
the contract for 1000 m2. The owner has participated in a training about exporting delivered by the
Ethiopian SME Development Agency (FEMSEDA). This thus implies that she will have to move
from the current government subsidized location, because that facility is deliberately meant to
support small enterprises to grow.

Miss Senayit Abebe explicitly
stated that because of the
project she can act and think
more strategically, taking into
account a longer term
perspective. She learned how
to add value to her products,
and how to comply with
international standards.
Besides the production for
export, Saftex Garment will
continue to serve the domestic
market. She is cleverly in the
way to recruit a Turkish
employee since they have a
good experience in textile and
garment industry, she will have
a passion to make her garment
in to international standard garment with a focus of export her products in the near future.
