3.The POWER SOURCE to generate electric are two types:-

a.Renewable Energy Sources-

-energy can be replaced continually and never deplete/ boleh bertukar ganti berterusan dan tak
habis

[sumber Tenaga yg boleh diperbaharui]

Example

-hydro energy-kuasa air menjanakan elektrik

-wave energy-kuasa ombak

Tidal energy- tenaga pasang surut air laut

Wind energy-

Solar energy

Biomass energy- bahan terbuang dari benda hidup seperti hampas kelapa/tebu/najis hasilkan gas

Geothermal energy – air panas dalam bumi/hotspring

b.NON_-renewable Energy/

-Tenaga Yg TAK boleh diperbaharui/diganti / habis begitu sahaja

iEnergy that CANNOT be replace and WILL deplete

Example:-

-Nuclear energy

-Coal

-Natural gas- gas yg dijumpai Bersama petroleum dlm bumi

-Petroleum--- petrol,diesel, biasanya

JENIS JANAKUASA :MEKANISME PROSES YG BERLAKU SERTA PERUBAHAN TENAGA

1.Thermal Power station

-thermal ialah HABA PANAS yg mendidihkan air

-sumber yg mendidihkan air/hasilkan api ialah DIESEL, natural gas, petrol…

Mechanism:

Burning of fuel(bahan api) spt diesel/petrol/coal--- water boils and produce steam/wap air panas
- turbin rotates—produce electrical energy

Energy Change:

Chemical Energy/semua bahan dari benda hidup-fossil/biomass/coal ialah CHEMICAL ENERGY


Heat energy/panas -Kinetik/Gerakan berpusing/rotates turbin arus mengalir/eelectrical
energy

2.SOLAR POWER STATION:

Mechanism:

Sunrays solar panel convert light energy to electrical current

Energy Change: solar energy  electrical energy

[takde Gerakan pusingan turbin/kipas]

3.hydroelectric POWER STATION MS 168

MECHANISM:

HIGH dam store water/takungan air yg byk membentuk tekanan tinggi water from high level flows
to low level/ada terowong air yg mengalirkan air dgn laju turbins is rotated/berpusing
generates electricity

Energy Change:

Gravitational Potential Energy/high kinetic energy/flows/rotates-ada Gerakan je dipanggil


kineticelectrical energy

4.WIND POWER STATION

Mechanism:

High speed of wind -moves/rotates blade - produce lectric

Change of Energy:

Kinetic energy/bergerak-move/roatate electrical energy


5.NUCLEAR POWER STATION: ms 169

Nuclear reaction/tajuk radioactive-sinaran radioactive hasil haba yg tinggiboils water peroduce


steam rotates turbin/blade/fan produce lectrical energy

Energy Change:

Nuclear Energy Heat Energy/panas  Kinetic Energy/ada Gerakan pusing/ electrical energy

6.BIOMASS POWER STATION

Mechanism:

Biomass produce methane gas/ bahan buangan spt hampas kelapa sawit hasil gas  api dari gas
panaskan airair yg didih produce steam  steam yg amat panas pusingkan turbin/ rotates
turbin/blade produce electrical energy

Energy Change:

Chemical Energy/dari benda hidup dipanggil chemical Heta energy - kinetic Energy  electrical
