High Speed Tool Steels Guide

High Speed Tool Steels are specialized tool steels used for cutting and forming tools. YSS offers both conventional and powder metallurgy (P/M) High Speed Tool Steel grades. Conventional grades include molybdenum, vanadium, and tungsten-based steels, offering properties like toughness, wear resistance, and heat resistance. P/M grades like the HAP series have very high alloy content and uniform microstructure, providing superb wear resistance and toughness. YSS High Speed Tool Steels are suitable for both cutting tools and demanding forming applications.

HSS: High Speed Tool Steel

YSS High Speed Tool Steels are used not only for cutting tools but also
various forming tools which require higher wear resistance and
toughness. Along with conventional type steels, there are some grades
made by powder metallurgy process (HAP series) that has superb wear
resistance and toughness because of higher alloy content and uniform
fine microstructure.
