ESE : The Zone of Anxiety & Churning
Our ability to conceive ideas depends on the balance of the NE zone of our home, but the ability to analyze them
relies on the balance the ESE zone of the home.
The zone of ESE determines our ability to grasp a subject in depth, and gain a deeper understanding in it. What
should we to commit to, or what should we not to commit to - an evaluative analysis of the situation, the power of
contemplation, are the attributes of this zone.
Excessive churning and unproductive planning are caused by the imbalances in this zone. The Hindus have termed
this process as ‘Manthan’. This pocess of ‘Manthan’ happens at three level (Koshas) :
The Body Level (physical Level),
The Energy Level and
The Mind Level.
Without proper ‘chintan’ and ‘manthan’, we do not to arrive to proper conclusions, as a result of which, our
decisions are erred. With a well balanced ESE, we get an fair idea of when to adapt an idea and at what point to
quit. Reasons of an individual being biased, prejudiced, jealous can be attributed to the imbalances in this zone.
For those involved in Yog Sadhana, it is essential to be a witness and an observer to attain Bliss. The energies of
ESE play a vital role for spiritual aspirants too.
When the ESE zone of a space is overactive: It will make us over-anxious, worried and confused. If the ESE, if
depressed, it results into fruitless thoughts and actions.
Energies present in the ESE zone :
In this Zone, the energy of Satya, Savita & Bhrisha are functional.
Satya :
Attributes: Goodwill, Status, Commitment, Credibility, Authenticity.
Satya Literal meaning ‘ TheTruth’. If a person follows the path of truth, all the attributes described above, become
an integral part of his personality.
For example, committed people attain success, as a result of which, they gain credibility and good-will in their
profession as well as in the society. On the path of truth, one may face obstacles and hurdles. To sail smoothly
over these, determination is required. A sharp and undeterred mind helps in analyzing the correct and the incorrect.
Savita (The Igniter) :
Attributes of Savita : the power of meditation, the power of cleansing and friction, the ability to associate with
influential and powerful people and friends.
To follow the path of truth ‘Sankalp’ is required. ‘Sankalp’ is an attribute of the Fire Element. To lit this fire,
ignition is required. In real life scenario, after turning on a gas burner, we use a lighter or a match-stick to ignite
the spark that helps in setting on , of the fire. Be it a log of wood or gas, we need to ignite the fire first. In a scooter
or a bike, the same role is played by the spark-plug. The ignition process initiated by Savita in ESE. It is carried by
the Savita and Anil to make fire set a blaze in SE. The spark is converted into flames by Savita and Anil. The
literal meaning of Anil is 'Agni'.
Savita is also the provider of support and money. To get connected with influential people, the power of Aryama
supports Savita from the base (refer the Shakti Chakra).
The energy of Savita is scattered in ESE as well as SE. The zone next to ESE is SE. SE is the zone of transition,
where wood of East is gets converted into fire. To help this transition of SE, Savita, the energy of ESE, plays a
vital role, in the pre-transition phase.
This gives rise to the thought that when we use the self color green to treat a cut in ESE, it works well, but if we
use parent color, blue here, it will extinguish the spark, thus affecting the fire transition. Also, wood has 2 colors
namely Green & Brown. The Green represents oxygen i.e. tree which is alive, while brown represents 'the dry part'
that is the outer shell of a tree. For transition of wood into fire, both are desired are favorable.
Bhrisha (The Gravity) :
Attributes: Delay or hastiness in execution (both resulting in failure), excessive thinking to achieve perfection,
under or excessive planning resulting in delay.
When we throw something into the air, it falls back on the earth due to the gravitational power of Bhrisha. Men in
‘Paashan Yug’ used special stones to create fire (by rubbing of the stones). The spark created through rubbing of
stones have to fall on the dry wood for the fire to ignite.
ESE is pre-transition zone to the SE. This could be better understood with the example of the sun-rise :
There are 16 MahaVastu Zones and day duration spans 24 hours. The Sun remains for around 1.5 hours in a each
zone of Mahavastu.
Sun rises in the east. This is between (05:00 am – 07:00 am) depending on the season. The rays of sun infuse life
into living being. It enters the ESE zone around the time-period of 07:00 am – 08:30 am),
We start our planning for the day around this time. We get ready for our work, the kids get ready for school,
housewives get engaged in preparation of breakfast and lunch. This is the time, we check our appointment diary,
schedule our meetings appointments to attain the target set for the day. Our analysis and churning kick starts,
everyday around 07:00 – 08:30am, say when the sun enters in ESE Zone. The Sun rays through its increasing
warmth, ignites the fire of churning within ourselves. We cut all our unnecessary activities for the day through our
sharp and fruitful planning. If proper planning is not done, the purpose set for the day is not achieved.
This is how life is controlled and directed by the ESE zone to help us achieve the purpose of our life.
The effects of this zone on various aspects of our life :
Health :
When this Zone is imbalanced, it can result into anxiety, blood pressure and diabetic problems. For couples, it
results in conflict and quarrels. A bedroom in ESE should be avoided, while it is best suitable for a toilet and
waste-bins.
Sleep :
If there is bed room in ESE, there are chances that it may result into excessive thinking. If the symptoms match,
then painting the walls in cream or yellow, will help to control the anxiety and unproductive thought processes.
However, a bedroom in this zone is best suited for the young children between 16-21 age group. It helps them in
gain maturity by igniting the ‘churning’ process within. Their childish behavior transforms into that of maturity.
Finances :
Imbalance in ESE is responsible for wrong investment decisions, leading to heavy financial losses in share-trading
and other Investments.
Objects :
Electrical Equipments: Mixer, Grinder and Washing Machine in ESE controls the excessive churning and helps it
turn fruitful.
Entrance :
E-6: Results into commitment failure thus making you unreliable and adversely affecting one’s goodwill and thus
affecting one’s business adversely. This is because the energy flow mandatory to keep our anxieties in balance and
thinking correct, is destroyed by placing the entrance. To recreate this balance, and to ward-off the evil effects of
such an entrance, paint yellow color on the entrance.
E-7: It creates the insensitive behavior because the gravitational energy which is the very essence of relationships
and mutual understanding is destroyed by the entrance. To ward off the evil effects of such an entrance, apply red
color on the entrance to block the bad effects.
Remedies :
2-D Programming: Picture/Painting of Kamdhenu Cow and Samudra Manthan.
3-D Programming: Pair of black and white rabbits.
Caution: Be careful in the selection of yellow color because of the simple reason that Earth (sand) exhausts the
fire. ESE, the pre-transition zone to SE, does the task of igniting the fire. Excess of earth here can weaken or
extinguish the fire, so prefer using light yellow shades.
