Internal Criticism about a particular coverage of BBC News regarding the Congress
rejecting ABS-CBN broadcasting franchise.
Regarding BBC News’ contents, I can say that they are credible. BBC News is a well-establish
news broadcaster. They even claim that they are the world’s leading public service broadcaster.
They covered in the report the allegations and criticisms that the Network had against the
President. Howard Johnson who is the one that covered the report, said his thoughts that “this is
a pattern, if you *(inaudible)* the President that they’ll come after you”. However, I don’t think
this makes him having biased. He is not connected to ABS-CBN as well as the BBC the Network
.

Content Analysis on the Spolarium by Juan Luna
Spoliarium was all about the bloodied bodies of gladiators, who were drawn as slaves; and
dragged away from the wide and powerful arena as they attempted to fight their Roman
oppressors, with their own precious and God given lives. In addition, these slaves on this world-
renowned painting of Juan Luna were physically stripped of their clothing in order to gratify the
lewd and devilish contempt of those Roman oppressors. Thus, this had excellently embodied the
essence of the political, moral and social lives of the Filipino, based on the critical analysis of Dr.
Jose Rizal, the national hero of the Philippines; and a contemporary of Luna.
Also, his Spoliarium had provided a distinctive picture and persona of an open struggle against
reason and idealism, which were coupled with justice, fanaticism and cases of prejudice.

Contextual Analysis of Jose Rizal’s Poem- “Ang Aking mga Kabata”
This is the first poem of Rizal. In the age of 8, Rizal wrote his first poem in native language
entitled “SA AKING MGA KABATA”
“ANG HINDI MAGMAHAL SA SARILING WIKA AY HIGIT SA HAYOP AT MALANSANG
ISDA; KAYA ATING PAGYAMANING KUSA, GAYA NG INANG SA ATIN AY NAGPALA.”
This is the famous term derived from our national hero Gat. Jose Rizal who gives importance to
language in a person's life. An inspirational term and a collection of lessons about the value of
language. Although Rizal knew how to speak many foreign languages, he did not abandon his
country and cherished the Tagalog language which was one of the Filipino speakers.
