Physical Fitness As per a study carried out by the Stanford University Dance Division, physical or cognitive recreation could

uld have an impact

on the brain's ability to function at its best. From tennis and swimming to reading and crossword puzzles, frequent dancing
was the most effective at reducing dementia risk by 76 percent. Researchers discovered that dancing integrates several brain
functions at once, including those related to physical movement and cognition as well as musicality and feelings. These
functions work to improve neural connectivity.
Individuals who enjoy recreation take part in a variety of activities based on their preferences and circumstances. Activities
like mountaineering and dancing as well as farming and hiking are some examples of recreational activities.

Stress Reduction According to some studies, taking some time to relax and unwind can help a person reduce stress. Social dimensions were
defined as rewarding relationships with other people, and relaxation factors were defined as relief from daily strain and stress
(Beggs and Elkins, 2010). This demonstrates that doing leisure can reduce stress for the person who is doing it, and that the
majority of people who are doing leisure time for stress reduction are people who already have a job and want a temporary
break from it. For example, in the United States, those at the top of the higher positions often seek counseling because their
free time is limited, and their work hours are extended.

Enjoyment "Enjoyment" is defined by Gary D. Holt (2013) as "the act of taking pleasure in nature or the desire to escape from
civilization." This is due to a desire to get away from the city for a while and be closer to nature. These behaviors are usually
performed by people who want to prove to others that they are capable of doing something so that others will think more
highly of them. People who love being outside are likely to engage in outdoor activities such as hiking, orienteering, and
more. According to some research, the category that falls under enjoyment is family rather than individual person because
nowadays, the family group will usually book a certain time to spend their leisure time with their family and it is very often
when the time which is usually booked for school holiday. For instance, It is common for Americans to bring their families to
the United States.

Social Contact Spending quality time with family or friends, doing things with their companions, meeting new people, and interacting with
others are all examples of social contact (Packer, 2004). This is one of the leisure and recreation activities that they will
participate in during their free time. Some researchers believe that if humans go too long without interacting with other
species, their behavior will change, and some will label them as insane as a result of the infection of being lonely for a portion
of their lives. For example, during weekends in Malaysia, the majority of leisure time is for the community, and that time is
fully utilized for spending time with their loved ones. To compensate for a lack of social contact in the family, some people
will interact with other people to fill their time.

Spiritual Expression In terms of its contribution to spiritual expression or religious values, spiritual expression is one of the leisure activities
(Kraus, 2001). During the early decades of the twentieth century, play and recreation were frequently referred to as uplifting
or holy types of human experiences, according to his research. As a result, spiritual expression is part of leisure during free
time to praise their God and pray so that these people have a moment between them and the almighty God.

Cross-cultural Gleeson (2008) found that youth in South Africa have higher levels of motivation and lower levels of intrinsic motivation
than their counterparts in Germany and the United States of America. This demonstrates that different countries have
different leisure cultures, which vary depending on the country's economic, cultural, and environmental conditions. Cross-
cultural influences in Malaysia have been influenced by the western way of life, which includes leisure. The traditional
leisure mode has given way to the modern leisure method.

Economic A person or a family's ability to enjoy leisure and recreation depends on their budget and the economic state of their country.
Consumers can purchase a variety of commodities by utilizing these resources (Aslan, 2002). In a nutshell, they are the
budget constraint and the ability to purchase. According to recent studies, I believe that in Malaysia, people will usually aim
for a place with a lower price and higher quality to pursue leisure and recreation time, and they will do so at the end of the
year, which falls in the month of school vacation. The hotel is usually rented by Malaysians, who choose “Hotel Seri
Malaysia” because the price is reasonable and the quality is excellent in every way.

Influence of Technology As we enter the twenty-first century, technology's influence has become one of the most important factors for improving any
aspect, including leisure. Advanced technology has played an important role in the development of new play activities, such
as computer dating, which provides a new form of social contact for single adults, and video games, which provide interactive
competition or exposure to new varieties of play settings and virtual realities (Jones and Bartlett, 2011). Furthermore,
technology users are increasing as a result of the internet, which provides even more options for variety such as 3G, social
mail, and much more. Technology users have a greater impact on children and adults than on older people. Recently,
numerous companies in Malaysia have introduced smartphones, which have been a hot topic, which connect to “cyber world”
for their leisure.

Awareness and Appreciation Humans can learn and experience themselves through leisure and recreation by participating in and acknowledging the
leisure and recreation outcome. One of the reasons people engage in leisure and recreation is to become more aware of and
appreciate tolerance and understanding, as well as to find outlets for conflict resolution and cooperation (Human Kinetic,
2006). In their spare time, for example, a family might go to the National Zoo Park. As a result, they learned so much about
animals that certain species are on the verge of extinction as a result of the hunter. This means that their family will be
prohibited from hunting when they have more time. This scenario can also be part of the leisure meaning because it motivates
them to understand the mandatory need for environmental awareness. A study conducted by the Human-Environment
Research Laboratory at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign discovered that more green space within inner-city
neighborhoods resulted in greater use of public common spaces and that the presence of vegetation strengthened neighborly
relationships.

Everyday Concept Leisure has proven to be a meaningful concept for all groups within modern societies, according to Ken Roberts (2006), and
their everyday understandings highlight three features. First, it is common for leisure to be distinguished from work; however,
when lay people appear to prefer the residual definition, they usually state that leisure is distinct because work is unpleasant
or must be completed. Third, being pleasurable or enjoyable, as well as occasionally relaxing, and to these experiences being
immediate or intrinsic. This study was conducted on a specific target population, such as housewives, who saw doing their
daily routine as part of their leisure time. As a result of the obvious difference in opinion between the two groups of people,
especially those with a career.

It has been suggested by Jade (2012) that recreational activities have the greatest value and benefit when it comes to
Sharpen Skills developing and improving skills over time because you are more inclined to learn new things and motivated to do your best.
The other meaning is that focusing on one thing can lead to a decrease in skills, but bringing in new elements that are
different from the norm can result in a positive outcome, and learning new things without even realizing it can give some
selves learner towards everyone and itself. There is a good sentimental encouragement from a prime minister who said, "Let
today be better than yesterday, and tomorrow will be even better than today."
