Subject: First Aid Kit Recommendations
The following is a list of equipment and supplies useful for packing a Team First Aid Kit.
Standard Supply List Pharmacy items (optional)
Bandages, various sizes NSAIDS in adult and child doses
Gauze pads (acetaminophen, ibuprofen)
Safety pins, large and medium Antihistamines (diphenhydramine)
Adhesive tape Baby aspirin
Duct tape Hydrogen peroxide
Elastic bandages (ace) Licorice tea bags, Black tea bags
Trauma shears Charcoal capsules (vegetarian)
Tweezers Epsom salts
Needles, large sewing type or sterile Laxative herbs and aids
Magnifying glass Medicine dropper
Thermometer Herbs: hot pepper, catnip (for tinctures)
Blood pressure cuff Arnica oil (for massage pain relief)
Stethoscope Aloe Vera leaves/Gel
Basin, both 2-3 gallon and flat 1 gallon Rubbing alcohol (for tinctures)
Hot water bottle Tourniquets
Alcohol, isopropyl/ Iodine solution for
cleansing
Cooling pads (instant ice pack) Most of these items have a long shelf life, and in
Penlight the case of sterile bandages, can be used after
Splints various sizes outdated as a clean dressing (no longer sterile).
Finger Splint/Tongue depressor
Lighter/matches The team kit needs to be checked for its
Sterile water for eye wash, dressing completeness both biannually and before any
anticipated training. At the end of a training event,
Ear syringe (optional)
the kits should be stocked again.
