(after reading all in the slide)
GMRC is not only showing respect to others but to yoursef as well. As future teachers, we
should do our best to be a good model to our students for them to have good manners and right
conduct wherever and whenever they go.

GROSS MOTOR SKILLS
Slide 2
Gross motor skills are skills that involve the large muscles of the body.
(read the example) The picture shows the progress of a child as he grows.
Slide 3-6
(just read the picture)
Slide 7
It is very important to support the gross development of a child by giving them the freedom to
develop their motor skills by allowing them to play alone or with others.
Slide 8
It is important to let children exercise their muscles everyday by playing or other
activities that can stretch the specific part of their body like their hands and legs.
ARTS
SLIDE 2
Art is the the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination. From
what I read, arts is important for everyone especially in the early childhood development for is
supports the young ones in their play and when they express their imagination which is natural
for the young kids.
SLIDE 3
(after reading all in the slide)
Arts has its many benefits for young children. It allows them to engage multi-sensory.
For example they draw or write everything they have heard, seen, smelled and more. It also
develops the child’s motor development for it involves physical activities. Lastly, language
development of the child can be gain as they encounter colors, shapes , and actions which they
exhibit as they do arts.
SLIDE 4
(after reading all in the slide)
Drawing, painting, writing and other art activities provide the young children
experiences that they need in developing their learning. They found happiness and feel
challenged as they do arts . Their thinking skills are also developed as they think and
comprehend things they want to draw, paint and more. Teacher’s instruction is important as it
provides ways for children to learn.
SLIDE 5
As a teacher and facilitator, communicating to the children as they do arts is a must for
teachers provide assistance that the children needs. Talking to them and checking their outputs
are what the children need to feel more motivated to continue doing arts.
Lastly, as teachers we should encourage our students to express their ideas and emotions for
this will really help in their total development.
COMPREHENSIVE LITERACY APPROACH AND ITS COMPONENTS
Slide 2
(after reading all in the slide)
Comprehensive literacy approach is an approach that helps the teachers know
and choose techniques that enable students keenly understand the lessons specifically those
that involve literacy.
Slide 3
There are components of Comprehensive literacy approach namely…
Slide 4
First component is Reading aloud, here the teachers read aloud a text from a book or any
reading materials then the children will listen to him/her. Their speaking and listening skills will
develop as they hear the techer reding.
Second component is shared reading, here the teacher and the students read a text together.
They my read a chant, poem or song. Here the students will have a good time with their teacher
as they read together.
Slide 5
Third component is guided reading, here the teacher guides the students as they read a text
that he/she has introduced to them. The teacher will then give assistance as the students read,
if they have mispronounced words or something.
Fourth component is indepenent reading, here the students read the text alone without the
help or support of their teacher. The teachers have to make sure that the texts the students
read are those that are interesting and appropriate to their reading skills.
Slide 6
Fifth component is Language Experience Approach, here using the experiences of the students,
they will read a text and they will be able to connect their experiences to the text they are
reading.
Sixth component is , Word study, the teacher will focus on teaching students words that will
enable them to widen their vocabulary and prepare them as they read longer text with more
words.
Slide 7
Seventh component is writing, here the students write letters to words. They will write what
they have derive from texts or prints they’ve read.
Eight is interactive writing, here like interactive reading, teacher and students write together.
They will compose stories, chants or poems.
Slide 8
Ninth is, shared writing, here as the students write or scribe the teacher guides or support
them. They will also write songs, poems or chants together.
Tenth is independent writing, here the students write on their own. Without their teacher they
will write stories, poems and more.
Slide 9
Eleventh is, guided writing or writers workshop, here the teacher provide mini-lessons to the
student as they write different stories.
Twelvth, is writing aloud, here the teacher writes in front of the students and he/she will say
aloud what does he/she thinks and writes. As the students observe their teacher it will develop
their reading and writing skills.
High Quality Children's Literature
Slide 2
(after reading all in the slide)
For parents and teachers, providing children high quality lliterature experience is very
important. It is best that at early stages of a child, he/she will be exposed to good and high
quality books and be involved to high quality literature experience as this will be very useful in
developing his/her literature appreciation, cognitive development, creativity and emotional
intelligence. As children reach, higher grades it will be easier for them to comprehend and
analyze different form of literature.
Slide 3
(after reading all in the slide)
As we give children, high quality literature experience, good books play an important role for
this. Parents and teacher should provide books that interest children and appropriate for their
level of learning and age.
They can read books that has story which will they really enjoy like widening their
imagination and stories about bravery that will make them overcome their fear.
Slide 4
(after reading all in the slide)
The pictures in the book should be related and really support the story (characters, plot
and more). Children tend to read books which are colorful and has pictures.
It is very important that young kids read stories that are appropriate to their age and
not lengthy because this make them easily bored and they will eventually stop reading.
Books should be age and level of development appropriate.
Language Experience Approach
Slide 2
(after reading all in the slide)
Language Experience approach, is one of the strategies that teacher can use in making reading
and writing for students easy, interactive and meaningful. Here, with the children’s experiences
like seeing an animated movie, they will be able to write what they have understood about the
story. Thus, experiences really help in language development of every child.
Slide 3
(after reading all in the slide)
It is also a method for teachers to use the students’ experiences to help them read. For
exampe, students will draw their happiest experience, the teacher will then write what is the
drawing all about and let the student read what he/she has drawn.
Slide 4
As seen on the diagram, in language, there are 4 skills that should be developed and mastered
and these are speaking, reading, writing and gramatical skills. Grammatical skills are their
sentence construction, spelling and more.
Slide 5
(after reading all in the slide)
Using LEA is a very useful and effective method as it connects the student experiences and the language.
Experience is the best teacher. Using these experiences, students can easily connect and learn
eventually.
Slide 6
(after reading all in the slide)
As the teachers use LEA, it allows the students to explore, think and talk. This is because as they recall
and use their experiences they will explore then express what they’ve recalled.
As the students talk, their vocabulary and grammar skills are being developed. Lastly, their interactions
skills are also developed as they express.
GUIDED READING AND WRITING
Slide 1
Intro: 2 of the components of Comprehensive Literacy Approach are guided reading and writing. One
thing very common in these 2 is that the teacher is present here as he/she guides the students as they
read and write.
Slide 2
(after reading all in the slide)
Guided reading. Here the teacher, guides or coaches the learners as they read the given text. After
sessions of guided reading, the learners can now proceed to independent reading. Independent reading
means, they are to read the texts alone without the guidance of the teacher.
Slide 3
(after reading all in the slide)
Here the teacher, guides or coaches the learners as they do a writing task. It is very important that
teacher guides the student as it is quite hard for them to write on their own considering their age.
Closing: These two, guided reading and writing are useful strategy the skills of the child with the
guidance of the teacher.
READING AND WRITING ALOUD
Intro: 2 of the components of Comprehensive Literacy Approach are reading and writing aloud. One
thing very common in these 2 is that the teacher is present here as he/she guides the students as they
read and write aloud.
Slide 2
( after reading all in the slide)
For reading aloud, the students will be able to develop their listening skills. As they observe and listen to
their teachers reading aloud, or as they read aloud with their teachers, they will know how to listen and
speak properly. They will also learn how to listen to stories and guess what will happen next in the story.
Slide 3
There are 4 importance of reading aloud:
First, as what Ive said earlier, their listening skills are developed. They’ll be more familiar to reading
stories.
Second, it also supports the speaking skills of a child. As they read aloud or listen to teachers reading
aloud, they will observe and imitate the proper way of reading.
Third, it widens the vocabulary of the learners as they are introduced to various words. And they can
also learn on predicting what will happen next of a story thus, developing their sense of story structure.
Fourth is, the learners can use the texts they have encountered for basis, when they have other reading
task or when they want to enjoy reading a text they are already familiar.
Slide 4
Writing aloud or modeled writing, here, the teacher say aloud what they think as they write in front of
the students. With this, the students will be able to observe how to write properly and they will also
know how to put into writing what they are thinking.
