Publisher Preface
Chiang Da-hung and his Shui-long Jing
This book has a collection of almost every pattern of Shui (water) of the
traditional and classical form Feng Shui School. Shui are living things like
you and me. As a human being the important character lie in creation of
emotion or passion in deep consciousness, those will demonstrate on the
face or body language. So do the Shui in the same way. Therefore this book
Water’s emotion and passion since in which they recorded body language of
the water and explain what those postures express what passions is.
One local water environmental landscape create one pattern of people, since
the landscape are the heaven stars Qi to form these changeable earth shapes
through reflecting and effecting. This ancient Taoist holography has been
used to describe and explain the interaction between Heaven, Earth and Man
for thousands of years before it has been reinforced by the “modern chaos
and fractal theory”. Understanding this interrelationship will help us to
understand landscapes, the mountains and waters, what kind of energy and
emotion they take from the universe and what they will emission to the
environment which we share with.
As a member of calyx whole shape is a spiral, earth has mimicked this
universal energy shape. Therefore most of the plants on this globe have a
spiral structure shown in the stems, branches, flowers and leaves. Reader
will see similar structure of the water landscapes like stems and branches
from this book. We are not surprised when we find some landscapes, similar
as a flower the petals and leaves surrounding the growing point, green
dragon and white tiger surrounding and protect the dragon point. Because
they reflected the calyx spiral through the effects in chaos and fractal
theoretic terms known as self-similarity and self-affinity. Also if we
compare plants and landscapes with animal body even human body, the
female organs take the same way to surrounding and protect, while the male
in yang style similar to female’s. Such ancient Taoist systems knowledge
developed through by such a detail observation.
Thousands of mountains and waters consists this complex landscapes. Form
school provides the knowledge to guide you how to identify a location
through watching the body language to know the emotion of landscapes.
Feng Shui is an ancient system thinking that is define as holistic viable
Systems Thinking, a system thinking that its levels of focus is in yin-yang
and five element holistic system hierarchies. According to holistic viable
system thinking has all the natures of viable system thinking.
Water Feng Shui has become a classic school by the famous Master Chiang
Da-hung, his main contribution is Shui-long Jing or the Water-Dragon
Classic, entitled with the paradigm: Water-dragon as the Body while San
Yuan Yi- Jing Gua as in Using. It is an important textbook in Chinese Feng
Shui traditional. It is a book that Feng Shui practitioners will have to keep
reading all their life as the main reference.
Since the world has developed a market of business people looking for a
way to become prosperous quickly, however, the mountain Feng Shui is
slow to enhance, this may be the reason why water Feng Shui in modern
society are prefer by Feng Shui profession, a growing industry. This is the
first time the whole book of five volumes with water related is published for
interested western Feng Shui practitioners. The publishing of Shui-Long
Jing in the west is a symbol that indicates Feng Shui has formed its
traditional frame in Feng Shui profession and paralleling the Feng Shui
knowledge has migrated deeply in this new culture.
Chiang Da-hung, also called Chiang Pian-Chien, his teacher Wu Chi-Zi was
the famous Taoist in Yuan dynasty. In Feng Shui history, Wu Chi-Zi is the
mystery person and his writing left a lot of puzzles, nowadays in the world
of Feng Shui, it is the main resource to create the academic arguments to
stimulate the Feng Shui professional sensuality. However Chiang Da-hung's
some of his writings changed his teacher's styles into easy and simple to
understand. That is why people know Chiang more than his teacher today.
Hundred of years Shui-long Jing has experienced the judgment both by
academic and practice, we have to say there are no English language books
on Water-Dragon, however this book in keeping its high standard, there is
no other book in the future to replace this.
Water Feng Shui Patterns
Invisible Feng Shui landscapes currents and their mysterious patterns form a
special group environment living energy, which created by human's natural
behaviour. The great United the male and female, such universal generator is
symbolically represent the life continue also to prevent danger and
calamities. The water Feng Shui suggests locations, which would enable one
to avoid confrontation with spirits rather than to invoke them, so that those
patterns of water situations are concerned as models of classic water
approaches.
In Feng Shui area, the greatest Master’s are few to name. There is a quote
that in a great age emerges a great master, Master Yang and Zhen both by
Tang Dynasty, Master Lei by great Mongolia Kingdom,
Master Liu created by great Ming dynasty and Master Jiang presented by
Great Chinese Imperialism,
Master Jiang Da Hong is the student of Taoist Master Wu Chizi, Taoist
knowledge is a stress tactic, so called, enlightened by heart but not by words.
Therefore translation work is very difficult since the knowledge migration
between the two cultures, there is a culture gap, in terms of system known as
the ‘source’ and ‘sink’ are not in coupling. Eddie Wong works to spread true
Feng Shui knowledge to Western sink, so I asked Master Ye and my father
(a Chinese Scholar) to be channel workers to dig a channel to introduce
Chinese ‘source’ irrigating Western ‘sink’, thus is the motive of Master Ye
and my father involvement with this great work.
Because the bioelectrical field of the human brain is intricately related to the
geomagnetic fields of the earth and its shapes, any energy shifts in the planet
and its geometry cause corresponding transformations in the consciousness
of humanity. I hope that these writings will ease these transformations and
help us to understand the cosmos as it really is.
Water is an emotional stuff so kind to bring prosperity and unkind to create
misfortune.
We are now writing another book to complement Jiang Da Hong’s Water
Dragon Classic; this new book will provide a guide on how to use his book
to design water Feng Shui strategy. This book will include main water
academics approaches.

                          Master Jiang Da Hong
                     Original Publisher’s Preface
What we present to you is an ancient treasure; it has been called the Bible of
Water Feng Shui tradition. It is the definitive study of water Feng Shui. It
ignites and translates the oldest deepest stratum of wisdom that stems back
through ancient civilisations and the startling accuracy of the symbols never
fail to intrigue and mystify the follower. It reflects many different energy
shift patterns that correspond to transformations in the consciousness of
humanity and its environment. Life is an intelligent organised motion, and
water Feng Shui enables and empowers its followers to richer deeper more
meaningful lives. When you use Chiang Da (Jiang Da Hong’s water
formula), you will experience the divinity and alchemy of water Feng Shui.
It encompasses everything that is perplexing and intricate in the world and
intimately goes through each area in detail so that you unfold and discover
the pattern of true wisdom in water Feng Shui.
The contemplation of water is a common theme throughout Chinese Art and
culture, but nowhere will you find such ancient teachings and revelations as
in the Chiang Da (Jiang Da Hong’s book). Mountain and water are the main
phenomena of landscapes, which are coded by Universal laws of creation. In
Feng Shui tradition there is a saying, mountains relate to health and water to
money, therefore, the fastest way to riches is to use the water Feng Shui
approach. The book summarises the thousands of years of experience in this
area and through the semiotic figures repeats the fundamental recurrences.
Modern chaos and fractal theory tell us where there is a recurrence, where
the pattern forms and where there is a cosmic block.
Master Jiang Da Hong’s books have been viewed widely throughout the
cosmic sphere of Feng Shui tradition; however, the five writings of Shui-
long Jing have never been published before. A great Master of wisdom
during centuries of observation, and deliberation, they reveal the correct
conditions for water Feng Shui. Unknown to Shui long Jing, Xi Yu-Feng
who had a financial business at that time, bought these books and stored
them away in a hidden chest for many years. The books remained
undisclosed, time passed and the business empire of Xi Yu-Feng changed
hands. The secret books of Shui long Jing were discovered many years later
in a pile of rubble. We now have had the books for some time, in order to
discover their true meaning and value, testing the work and finding within
great truths and teachings. Although written in ancient times, it could be
translated for the benefit of mankind.
We have referenced the history of Shan-long (Mountain Dragon) and Shui-
long (Water Dragon).
In ancient poetic form Liu Gong has recorded: -
“On south hill and seeing the mountain
Dragon with the method of Shan-long
To viewing the water flows with the
                          Methods of Shui-long”
We realise that mountain and water have different elements so do not be
confused. That is not the wisdom of Master Jiang Da Hong. The true
dilemma lay in the fact that the secrets were not taught by the Master and the
history books have not recorded or depicted any of these ancient arts - Form
School’s writing. Then came the methods for measuring landscapes centred
in distinct shapes. To the mountains we may go high and view the various
situations, whilst with water flow situated on the earth it is more difficult to
watch, indeed the diagonal or sharp arrows are most certainly more difficult
to distinguish.
However, to enjoy the fruit of more than several centuries of secrets, and the
need for spiritual understanding which will highlight the deeper meaning, we
have translated these teachings for you because Master Jiang Da Hong
omitted a lot of key issues of the spiritual element that need to be
highlighted and reflected upon. The books have placed emphasis on the San
Yuan and Nine Palaces. As to Tian Yuan heart methods we have held for
many decades, but we have found that there is no definitive study, therefore,
we know that Master Jiang Da Hong did not teach his secrets to others, there
must be more secrets and that is why we present to you this treasure.
Master Jiang Da Hong travelled with Yujian (Yun Jian Chen Xia) and his
friends many times, all well-known scholars. His essence of writing is strong
in meaning and his ability, as a seer and martial arts expert were well
known. He was gifted with the ability to shape change and there have been
many stories in relation to his adventures. There was a story that Mr. Yu
Shen invited Master Jiang Da to Hong, where together in a secret palace
they discussed the ancient arts. This took place outside Shaoxing city. He
disappeared before the very eyes of Mr. Yu Shen who asked horsemen
everywhere where he could find his teacher, but no one could find him,
although they looked all over. Mr. Yu then realised that Master Jiang Da
Hong was a man who keeps himself far from the ordinarily world or
ordinarily people. He knew the elements of magic and mirrors, of vigour and
strength, of parallel lives and parallel worlds, that one could enter and leave
as one wished, subject to great understanding and great transformation.
We have read “Wo-Long-Shan-Ren” where Gou Zi sent Master Jiang Da
Hong to the North Country.
Master Jiang Da Hong, a true gentleman, when he decided to do something,
nothing, not even hunger nor harsh elements could stop him; when in need
of counsel he would go to Shi Hui, Chou Ruo.and travel in Yu-yang Shong
Gu. Why? Shi-Hui was where the Duke Han used to be; Chou Ruo is the
county, which the revered philosopher Confucius resided (551-479 B.C.)
and Yu-Yang Shong Gu is the place where the famous General Die restored
the Han Dynasty.
If facts are truly as Mr. Gou Zi had said, then we think that Master Jiang Da
Hong was a person who had a lot of medieval talents and abilities, a truly
wise sage indeed, with special elements to his character, enabling him to
interpret the special elements in the environment that reflect changes in life.
In these five books we edited and re-wrote this book so that all integrity and
truth remain intact, in respect for the actual initial authorship of the work.
                             Chen Mu-Hang
                             At Heshi Yating
Qian-long Year at Ding Hai (1736-1796B.C.)
                   Introduction to Shui-long Ching
Jiang Ping-Xie (Jiang Da Hong’s other name)
Shan-long and Shui-long as Qian and Kun standing between as in heaven
and earth, one as Yang and the other is Yin; one is hard and the other is soft;
or one sitting and one standing. As the sky is covered and the earth is
supported, the sun dictates the daylight and the moon dictates the night
darkness. Each has its own responsibility. Nowadays geometrises only
know that Shan is as Dragon but they do not know that water also is as
Dragon. Even someone who talks about water approaches, however, who
may say that Shan is the body, the water also can be used. They implicate
the water method as the soldier who has to listen to the General, which is the
mountain, or water as the wife who should obey the husband. Therefore in
Feng Shui the name of the mountain has risen and so the power of the water.
Even in such a majestic plan, the water dominates the land, but also
challenges the Water Dragon theory that has been used in an incorrect
manner. Such a large section of society are oblivious to this insight, since
Master Yang Gong and Zhang, no one has tried to offer an explanation.
Ancient sages have told us that when it comes to planning and strategy you
do not look for Dragon, but watch the water flow, which is truly Dragon.
Also there is an ancient saying:
“There is no Dragon and Tiger, where are they?
East or West, it is taken the water as Dragon.”
Such clear word, water is the Dragon, but still we did not explore this theory.
When we have to use such principles there is no book to guide us as a
reference, as the troops who stopped by the wall without a door to entry.
Maybe people thought that the structure of the mountain was fixed and the
motion of the water changeable. If there are Masters who know and can
guide others to master that the Water Dragon acts on the earth, then it should
be published. If one knows and does not share the truth, then that is
unkindness, telling others but not telling the truth then it is dishonourable. I
want to be your guide, the Horse for the future wisdom scholars, showing
what I have learned from my teacher, Wu Tianzhu.
Exploring Master Yang’s ritual, opening the dormant passions and
restrictions of society, I profess my intent to share these teachings to those
that dwell in the deep caverns of confusion that creates a mist over our world
today.
Shan-long belongs to mountain element and Shui-long belongs to water
element, these two methods are distinct.
We have to outline to our readers that not only are these personal efforts but
these books are an ancient and long awaited resource for us. When we first
started to teach Shui-long methodology, there was no avenue to gather
evidence or research. What we have found so far in our many year of
experience is that Yu Jing Jing and Thousand Miles Eyes, these books tell us
how to enter the integral points. Then we are doubly blessed and we find
Shui long Jing. At that time we thought that Water Dragon Feng Shui has
never been published, it has, but the scholars before us were precocious and
they did not want to open to others the secrets that were available to them.
Therefore we edited these five books to be published so that many future
generations can work with the dynamic and often challenging interaction of
the microcosm and macrocosm.
