My ideal home
It’s eleven o’clock. It’s a lovely day. Today everybody is at
home because it’s Saturday. I enjoy being at home because it
is really cool.
The great thing about my house is that it is in the
5 countryside but near the city where my parents work and I go
to school. There is a small lake in front of the house, so we
don’t need a swimming pool. There is also a garden with different flowers and trees. I love to be
close to nature and to wake up and listen to the birds, to play outside with my dog and go
rowing in our little boat.
10 Every member of the family has a favourite room in the house. My mother spends her free
time reading by the fireplace in the living room or in the garden in the summer. The big kitchen
is my dad’s favourite room. He loves cooking and inventing delicious meals. He is there right now
making lunch. Mmmm! It smells good! My brother is in the attic where we have a table to play
table tennis and a big screen to watch films. He goes there to play the guitar. I love my bedroom.
15 I have everything I like there. There is a big window and I can see the beautiful lake.
We have a lot of technology at home, like a robot vacuum cleaner, an automatic ironing
machine and other gadgets to help us. This way we have more free time.
There are so many things I can do here! For example, last weekend I invited some friends to
visit me. We swam in the lake, we went fishing with my dad and we went for walks. We had a
20 good time!
